aiks.. if thats the case, i expect the k3 to be around 125-135k already.. since the elantra 1.8 is at 115k now. they sure price the 2.0 k3 significantly higher, but not too close to k5.

Volester is a sport coupe, and is to fight with crz, nothing to do with k3 pricing, thanks to that price, only i can see more crz on road, lol.
Hyundai used to hav a coupe model, which price high also. Is not a big suprise when they price so high for volester, i tot they will price it for 119k, but they seems greedy, hahaha.
Look at current forte price, i would say it would be ok for a max 10k of price increase, anything more than that will kill the sales, if naza they wanna outsale hyundai den better pandai like other model, exp like sportage, k5, etc.
I been following this model since it launch, hope the price is right...
If not, i rather go for other choices like focus or wait for new 308.

Went to KIA showroom yesterday...the salesman says the price will definitely be higher...the lowest end (1.6/1.8) maybe same price as 2.0 Forte now. He says that Forte will continue to be sell along the K3.

Btw, i talking about current malaysia market, nope oversea, the main point is how they justify the price on specific model.

my fav hyundai coupe is the "cat eye" model, back in 97-98, cant remember clearly the exact year, as my cousin own one, damn eye catching.

Seems like all new cars will be priced higher, new Forte will not be an exception as well.

I don't think so...even a reputable KIA dealer online here mentioned this.....definitely higher.

i think 1.6SX will definitely be within 90k-99k and 2.0SX will be within 100k above.... if 2.0SX is below 100k... then i dapao back 1 for sure... else i get the 1.6SX lor...

well 1st of all i dont think veloster is a sport car. unless it's a turbo. if not, then it's no more than a hyundai accent with a different body. and also it's not a coupe but just a normal hatchback.
marketing strategy from SD to label it as a sport car gve them an excuse to raise up the price.
just look at kia forte koup (now this is a coupe) MSRP at $18175 and veloster are sold at $17600.
now how the he*l SD can price it even higher than koup @ msia which is sold @ RM115800??

Price is still not officially announce yet.

Both variant have 6 airbags.

Just got my k5 @ 140k

K3 if 135k, only 5k difference. Don't think so.
