I was using HP895 + thedoctor's Sijosae headamp class AB too. And yes, it will surely give you good improvements. I was planning to write a full review (in a noob way) after I get everything run in for a while.. I only used the amp for less than 8 hours so far...

hehe well ok, maybe PSC805 has better DAC to play with, but it'll still be somewhat flat without a headamp. To me, the transition of sound card isn't really bringing as much improvement to my ears. If you have a laptop with integrated sound card and PSC805, you can compare and let me know how you think too.

Actually if you really want to know the difference, I am still selling my HP895. I will PM you later for price and details, it's basically not heavily used even though it's around 2 months old. You will like it

Just curious, anyone tried HP1000 on a MP3 player before? hehehe I tried HP895 on T10, need to use louder volumn and higher boost to bring up the music.

well of course have to maintain decent sound quality loh. Although a bit coloured due to the SRS boost, but it's inevitable else it would really sound more like mono

Although I know batteries are much more stable DC source to power the amp, but I still like DC adaptor, because I am lazy to change batteries when they go flat I don't really need real portability because the minijack to minijack interconnect itself already damn long, it's not even near portable

well it's not really noticable to me. At least at 3 o'clock, it's still very stable on thedoctor's DIY headamp, but normally there's some slight pop for around 10~20sec after startup after that it's stable , warm sound. 2107PA really sounds very nice especially on bass and sound stage

ah.. yes, I am not really sensitive to sound, maybe not exposed to too many high end stuff yet. It's clearly a noob statement to you and it's just my own humble opinion But one thing I am glad is, I don't have to spend much coz not even audiophile yet

hehe it's stronger as in the cracking part of the equation lah To me HD595 is a bit fragile lah, even HP895 got tougher clamps well of course that's why it's deadlier on the head.

hehe I am even more skeptical to think there's any differences after 10 hours continuous running. Most of the time, our mind will convince us that there's improvements although that's just our ears getting used to the music played by the headphones, nothing more
