QUOTE(LittleGhost @ Jul 3 2006, 07:39 PM) It's hard to say, i get the break-in effect from the HP1000 while i have yet to experience any significant break-in effect on my new HD650. My past experience tells me that break-in effect should be significant, but hey, it's not happening yet to my HD650. I guess break-in isnt all about placebo effects and psychological change. Well... maybe your mind is doing the right thing for HD650, it is really no "break-in" effect after all hehe Or you had already reach the so-called "break-in" , you just forgot how it first sounded after getting used to it and keep waiting for better It happens to everyone hehehe

QUOTE(david890701 @ Jul 7 2006, 06:33 AM) oOo.. Thats y my headphone sucks when i plugged straight into my soundcard. Well , i need an amp to do it right no? means Soundcard --> Amp --> SHP895? Not that your headphone sucks , it's just that if driven by soundcard only, the output would only be around 70% of what you could've heard from your headphone. A suitable amp will bump it up to 90~100% of what your headphone is capable of. BTW, thedoctor's class AB headamp rocks

QUOTE(aichiban @ Jul 11 2006, 02:01 AM) my ears are very weird internet radio streamed music - nice 128kbs mp3 - nice 1100kbs flac - very dull n very not nice y eh? all settings remain the same....the songs too weird but you should be very happy about it. That means you won't need to upgrade / purchase a good headphone or sound system, your ears will appreciate the inferior sound quality more anyway.
