When do you think you'll be able to let the secret out =) Also, how do you think the FiiO e5 would do to drive the HP1000? link to FiiO e5: http://mp4nation.net/catalog/index.php?mai...products_id=261

Fix it with superglue and tested fine. I really love my SPH895 it really have a good sound when listening to rock and metal. And yes, the Secret Amp can drive the HP1000 for a better push on the lower range. ADD: The Secret Amp is said to be able to push up till 600ohm btw. Well, the secret amp should be hitting the international market a little later, as the makers are working on the production time and some other minor details.

Think you can make it for a vacation down to Malaysia after the H1N1 craze? How'd you learn about the amp though? Hmmm.. I had the Secret amp, modified D1 and D10 lined up side by side once. Didn't actually tested the amp section of the D10 against the Secret Amp though, however I am confident it'd fall short of the Secret Amp. However the D10 does come with a DAC section. (was too busy testing out the modified D1 and the D10's DAC section that day) Well go retest again when I am free maybe.

Well, just to let you know, the Secret Amp works very well on several other headphones too (Alessandro, Senns, etc etc some IEMs and so on) Anything, if you're dropping by M'sia, drop me a beep, I can meet you up for an audit. Either that or I can contact the person in charge for you. This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jun 29 2009, 07:40 PM

QUOTE(xjian1985 @ Apr 14 2008, 11:30 PM) you can try the ATH-M30, i think it will definitely beats SHP895 in many areas. I own both but now mostly listen to ATH-M30, left my SHP-895 too long until its internal wire broken, now thinking to recable. QUOTE(nicholas_chan83 @ Jul 4 2008, 12:43 AM) Hey guys, I have been using HP890 for about 3 years... it has served me well... Unfortunately, all of a sudden, my right side headphones no longer emits sounds Left side still works fine though. Is there anyway I can fix this? I'd really appreciate if there's suggestions from you peeps... Sayang la... I love this headphones. I'm having the exact same problem (right driver not working). I opened up my SHP895 and I noticed that the internal wire connecting the female jack and the right driver has snapped in the spring-loaded extendable arm. I think this is a very common problem since the fragile wire keeps getting bended in the extendable arms. I tried to twist the strands of wire to join the snapped wire back together but it didn't work, my guess is that the individual strands are coated with non-conductive material. Might probably resolder a new wire back in. Do you guys have any idea where to get an identical internal wire for SHP895? This post has been edited by Fusion[eX]: Aug 27 2009, 03:40 PM
