The Google TTS engine comes together with GAPPS, I did fresh AOKP installation and was offered Pico TTS engine only. There might be a conflict after I installed GAPPS.

Which GAPPS source are you using?
*
i have both Pico and Google TTS engine.

GAPPS of course from AOKP themselves , y would you use other people modded GAPPS on AOKP ?

anyway, their GAPPS http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120717-signed.zip

Jelly bean? I noticed that using the browser drains the most battery
*
yeah Jelly Bean smile.gif

hmm, its kinda known that using browser will drains more battery simply because

1) you are using an app
2) screen is ON
3) Data/Wifi is transferring actively

removing number 1 from the equation, you already hitting 2 of 3 things that consume most power from your phone. To me, anything that uses these 3 things will consume more battery which is practically normal
1) Screen
2) Data/wifi
3) GPS

hmm normally 4 percent... wifi off during sleep biggrin.gif
*
thats y i ask whats his expectation cuz i dunno if he leave wifi / data on or off . If with wifi on 8% seems normal adi, if with data on 8% seems good already. hahaha

done a dirty flash for AOKP testbuild 3, nth special, only extra one more option in ROM control, the nav bar
*
Wow so now Nav bar mod is no longer special? ?? Hahha ain't u too pampered tongue.gif

To me the nav bar mod is the killer mod that differentiate AOKP from the rest. P3 is Almost as Good as its ICS counterpart already .

BTW, notification bar brightness control works now once u turn off auto brightness and the implementation is better than ICS already smile.gif

Really feeling good with p3 as of now ...

AOKP Jelly Bean has problem with the AOSP keyboard. Choosing No Language (QWERTY) keyboard also it will auto suggest words. Now a real pain in the ass.
*
I hate auto suggest next word as well cuz i prefer to get punctuation mark suggestions, not sure bout your problem but mine, i just disable "next word prediction" under android keyboard->advance settings

now it works similar to ICS version

Not connecting as MTP. it doesn't even try to install any driver, so I doubt its driver problem.

I am suspecting that its a bug with fastcharge. Just to confirm, can you toggle fastcharge in AOKP JB? because mine isn't working. The toggle doesn't go on / off.

I can toggle it if I flash back to B40, but there is no effect either, as in the toggle does work, but fastcharge isn't turning off (I think).
*
Can confirm 1, when fast charge working it will write charging as AC when you charge using usb in setting-->battery above the graph
When fast charge off it will say charging USB

BTW, stock AOKP jb doesn't work with fast charge cuz its using stock kernel . You need custom kernel that support fast charge to make it work .

Mobidia.com.MDM this app seems to one major culprit. Did you install mobidia app?

QUOTE(Eugene91 @ Jul 27 2012, 05:17 PM)
Facebook app seems to be the culprit. Even noticed this on my Xperia X10.. I've been using Friendcaster since I noticed the drain.

AOKP on JB really sucks. Performed worse than stock and BT/Wifi are crippled. The only thing good about it was the toggle buttons in notification bar, and maybe the battery meter.

Getting the hell outta here once I'm free to explore.
*
Maybe that's your experience only cuz for me, its faster and have more goodies while as stable as stock . WiFi BT NFC and Data never gave me any problem, not even once. I'm on AOKP JB P3 with stock kernel . Stable as rock! !!

trinity kernel no JB support yet?

franco kernel so far the performance is quite good, smoother. In term of battery i feel that when use with voice call, drain more battery than stock one.
*
If it doesn't support jb why would springfall suggest trinity? ? Its been supported for 3-4 weeks already

Nope! ! You don't need tkt to turn on fast charge. You can manually edit theconfig file or ROMs like AOKP have options to toggle it.

In fact, morfic did mentioned the tkt app is not a necessity at all
