Hi guys, just want to know. Beside buying from apple store, can we get iPhone 4s 16gb from any shop nearby? Anyone notice any drop of the price? Just wonder if there any shop sell slightly cheaper to clear their stock before iPhone 5 arrive.

So far the pricing maintain RM 1799 iP4s black/ white from Apple store
Can get cheaper a bit for new unit if you buy locally, around 1750 something..

Officially, its recommended retail price (RRP) already dropped down since September. That new price for iPhone 4S also happen to be the price tag of iPhone 4 of the same capacity prior price drop. So it's not likely it will get any much cheaper until early next year.

As for shops, most likely they won't drop price towards below of Apple Online Store's price just to clear stocks. You see, lots of small time phone kiosks are even displaying their iPhone 4 box sporting pricetag of sub-2k! For bigger stores, yup, sometimes they can get cheaper, but there's a catch. Cheaper only by RM50-100, and the sets are most likely not Malaysian sets anyway.

As for telco stores, most of the stocks are already so constrained (most likely due to them limiting bulk order units from Apple in anticipation for iPhone 5 launch). Even now can't order iPhone 4S from Digi Online Store anymore, can only purchase by walk in. So the stocks are so small in number that they have no need to do clearance.

I don't think so can claim. It's always arguable you knock/drop it onto something. More like accident, not product fault.

i think i need to to a factory reset as it was getting laggy and apps are not functioning properly
in order to reset and restore all my files, can I choose not to upgrade to ios6?
if yes, how would i do that?

please advice

Can.

Download the specific OS that you want, for example, 5.1.1. You can google it. Then open up iTunes, on your keyboard, hold on the SHIFT and press update (same time) Locate the OS that you've downloaded and you're good to go. Remember to hold on to Shift when you press Update.

Cheers!
