Still i am sure that pt91 was a t72 variant. mahatir choose these model instead of offered t84 by ukraine,t90 by rusia,and leopard a2 by german.Reason? In exchange of coastal radar technology and horse breeding know how.
Still buying t72 does make some sense given the weight of the tank that very much suits malaysian soils.strange though that singapore did purchase as many as 80-120 leopard a1 which is heavier that our t72.
People did wonder why the more modern t84 or t90 were not chosen then..
