Same here. Currently drove Civic FD facelift too. Still love my Civic interior but fall in love with GTI power & handling after test drive them.

agree that MK5 interior looks dated. i think an RCD510 radio can do some wonders. anyways, dont let the outlook let u down, try to test drive first. many change their minds after test driving any vw

Pre-reg can be showroom car or demo car. Example, when Polo Sedan was launched few months back, they have more than 10 units driven accross the country for roadshow, this would be consider pre-reg car when VW sell it.
If go to take loan, bank will consider this as new car but with some mileage on it...

Weird, i was told by many SA ,pre-reg is brand new cars which are registered upfront in order for them to meet the quota of that year. Thats why all pre-reg cars already come with number plates .

Basically i was told there are

Pre-reg cars
Demo car
Pre-owned cars
Showroom car

Bank will offer pre-reg car same interest rate as new car, i think many of us here did get the same offer from VW

No, is the total cost you have to pay to settle the transaction.

Not include the cost of the kapchai.

e.g. If kapchai sell new = 5k

Shop boss will sell the transfered plate kapchai to other people for 4-4.5k

But you need to pay shop boss 1-1.2k to settle all the paperwork, transfer, etc.

didnt own both of the car but what i notice was

- rear view camera accessorie shop can do this for RM100
- panamoric roof having a glass roof instead of metal just equals more weight = slow = poorer fc
- push start / keyless entry pointless
- full electronic seat with memory on driver side (passat also only driver side)
- full sport rim include spare wheel lugging around a full spare tyre and rim equals more weight = slow = poorer fc
- auto fold side mirror
- 10k interval service
Passat
- electronic hand brake good for ladies
- tyre pressure monitor sometimes do more harm than good
- driver assist (drowsiness alert)
- front parking sensor very useful
- cooling box moderate usefulness

Equipped with the DSG, the GLI is rated at 24 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway, while opting for the row-your-own option will mean trading one city mpg for an extra one on the open freeway.
   

If jetta equip more accessory alike Passat. It will have better sales.
