there are different variant of 7 speed DSG tranny..
DQ200 for max torque of 250Nm and DQ500 for max torque 500Nm
frosti3 is right.. the 6 speed DSG code name DQ250 can only handle max torque of 350Nm.

fitting a Polo's DSG into Audi TT-RS for sure to be "end of the day"...

ok thanks you.

My question is now

Why VW still reluctant to bring on the TDI version while BMW does?

Agree, or perhaps they knew our diesel here is crap?

Maybe VW dont want to bear any problem with our crappy diesel.
At least i want VW to bring on Golf Bluemotion TDI.

Fuel consumption
Combined, L/100km 3.8
Urban, L/100km 4.7
Extra Urban, L/100km 3.4
CO2 emission g/km 99
Fuel tank capacity litres 55

Quite impressive huh..

Initially I lamented my Passat no electric seats and no bluetooth hands free but after driving the car, it don't matter anymore! The drive is just fantastic and that's just a Passat. I can imagine just how the roc and GTI owners feel when they get behind the wheels of their car!

Semi electric. Electric controls for lumbar and recline but none for forward and backwards or up and down.

Bluetooth confirm don't have. But I'm using a Jabra Cruiser anyway so no biggie.

RCD510 no bluetooth function? sad.gif

Before the 2 years, drain out the battery. Left everything on in the car hehe

also, the ori battery cost RM1200 or more, while another cheaper one that does the job similarly(but slightly shorter lifespan if im not wrong) around RM400. better change before it dies, being stranded definitely sucks
*
shocking.gif

more expensive than Merc / BMW batt doh.gif

QUOTE(fr0sti3 @ Aug 5 2012, 06:10 AM)
which scirocco engine are talking about? 1.4 tsi, 2.0 tsi, 2.0 R or the 2.0 TDI?
http://www.topgear.com/uk/volkswagen/scirocco/verdict

While the 197bhp 2.0T engine might be broadly the same as the GTI's, the torque arrives earlier, making it seem quicker (though it hits 62mph in 7.2s, the same as the Golf). It's a bit inert when you really start to go mental, but you still come away with the sense that if you had to have a car that spans a multitude of situations, the Scirocco would be it.

Since the 1.4TSI comes with Volkswagen's 'Twincharger' system (meaning it boasts both a supercharger and turbocharger), it's lively and responsive despite it's diminutive size.

The 2.0TDI is fast-revving and punchy and sounds pretty rorty too. Not as clean and sweet as the petrol, but not rattly and never strained either.

The 260bhp 2.0 in the R feels punchier than the 197bhp You can feel the extra oomph, and yes, it is empirically really very quick indeed (0-62mph in 6s and 155mph) but most of the time, the noise and the power delivery is lacking that little extra something. And that something is joy.

topgear jeremy was using the diesel version if I'm not mistaken.

I've a problem, my tyre pressure gauge lit up (not blinking) but I've looked at the tyres, doesnt look like any of the tyres look flat or low pressure. Any advise on what I should do? The check tyre gauge is still lit up after I start the engine again after about an hour from engine off.
*
last time my W204 got this issue. say low pressure. go pump also didnt goes off. then I only found actually in the function need to press 'OK' after the warning come and fill up. Not sure passat were the same?

Thats the price quoted from the dealer, most of the time, prices from the dealers are usually quite high.
Yeah it was the Scirocco diesel at the time. They have plenty of diesel variants for the Scirocco over there from the 3-cylinder diesel to the 2.0 TDI variant.

he sure chopped kaw kaw. car batt very common unless hybrid batt hmm.gif

1. What should I take note of the car apart from whether it has involved in any form of accident?
chassis is most important. other factor also a need to consider. take a trust mechanic of yours to check it out.

2. How much "discount" should I ask for comparing with a new car given the above condition? If the guy bought it for 250K, should I nego for 20% or 30% off the original price for a 1 year old car?
-it depend market value as well

3. If the owner smoke inside the car, is there anyway we could eliminate the smoking odour?
- put A lot of charcoal for 1 week or so.
