Oh i mean now the point at "L" the infiniti symbol cannot turn already. this is normal all sp90 is like that
*
which mean i turn max, the infiniti symbol just slightly beside, that is the lens default characteristic?

longpants: if other lens is okay, and only Tamron has this issue, then tamron starting to fail u, its your tamron mount loose or the chip alignment as moved.
jimlim: the L long is a indicator that it reach infinity, u cannot reach the infinity logo lol! that L is mean infinity

okay, roger smile.gif

agreed, 14x magnifier also hardly to use, it is too zoom and so shaking. i always found the tripod setup lagi susah to get the camera angle; windy lagi bad to my subject. lot of thing need to learn

jimlim, what aperture were you using for that flower shot? was hoping the depth of field could perhaps be deeper.... wah.... all this macro photography is making me itchy liao..... tongue.gif
*
I cannot recall the setting alr. so far, i never try with f16 above with internal flash, it is too dark after i put a diy paper diffuser lol...

So, think it will improve the lighting if have flash gun and larger dig diffuser and go f22 something like that.

But, I watch over youtube, there is a technique call stack focus, it seem good for macro but also have its cons area.

collected my f43am, look new BUT the flash body engrave serial number is NOT TALLY to the flash box serial number, is this something common in Sony? The box sealed is cut by the seller to check item condition during received and claim it is new unit.

He ask me go register online, if got problem, return flash. I have not pay money yet. what do you guy think....

There are TWO serial numbers on the Sony flashes. The engraved one is the serial number for the strobe light unit, I think. The serial number on the box, is the one that is on the white sticker. When you turn the head sideways you will see it on top with a barcode.
*
hi albnok, thank for your hint! it is help and the serial is tally to the box serial notworthy.gif tomorrow make payment to seller laugh.gif

any way to use f43 in wireless mode without need of pop up flash?

fansoption,
is it sp90 can only shoot macro w/o the hood? i attach f43 and tried 1:1, the distance is short to subject and the flash head does not look point to the subject, i get dark pic.

No, you need the pop-up flash to be up. If you see the pop-up flash in pictures, use a faster shutter speed until you see "HSS" on your camera e.g. 1/300s.
