New Byron series, finally Beyerdynamic goes toward Bluetooth music

QUOTE
Byron is our new premium in-ear series, which will add three further highlight products to the beyerdynamic in-ear range. The consumer in-ear portfolio will be boosted by two new innovations at the same time with the three headsets, Byron, Byron BT and Byron BTA:

Bluetooth headphones: The Byron BT (BlueTooth) and Byron BTA (BlueTooth Advanced) headsets are the first wireless earphones in our range. Thanks to the latest Bluetooth standards, they offer the user a new level of flexibility with the familiar excellent sound.

Android headphones: The Byron headsets are our first to be equipped with a 3-button remote control specially for use on Samsung or other Android devices. Android users can expect outstanding in-ear sound from these universal headsets.

All three in-ear headsets will premiere from 2 to 7 September 2016 at IFA in Berlin.

Considering how shitty Beyer's QC and durability is on their IEMs, i'd stay even further away from their Bluetooth IEMs lol

I have try their latest Byron series, placed an order immediate, the Byron BT really did great on what they offer, a real audiophile grade Bluetooth earphone, not the conventional sport bluetooth earphone with awkward fitting.

Guess it will be my outdoor pair of earphone, 7.5 hours battery life quite good.

hmm well my bro's Beyer DT880 had its right earcup hinge practically broken apart despite minimal usage lol.

n my beyer t1 had its right hinge loose (as in, not being able to lock the height after adjusting, so it will move quite freely).

There s a reason ur getting better audio quality with Byron BT compared to other in ear coz BT is not water/sweat resistance. That s how they manage to produce this affordable pair.
*
I have read somewhere that Byron BT/BTA can be use on sport, although it doesnt stated clearly, however i ready through Beyerdynamic FAQ regarding on the question, they stated it is not prioritise on "Sport" usage, however they didn't clearly stated it can't use for sport.

Currently i'm using for light activity (Jogging), it seem no problem so far.

Like all non water proof HP also can raba some water spray..Jst wiser to get sports type if u have the budget

Some they purposely mention for sports sweat/water resistant
*
Yea, guess they are not suitable for heavy activities while you sweat like crazy. I have Jaybird before for sport use, but it keeps coming back with battery issue until i fed up on that.

hi, i am new to this, need advice.

i saw on amazon the dt 990 (32ohm model) is much cheaper than the 250ohm model, is it low impedance also meaning sacrificing sound quality?

Not really, it really depends on your usage, in overall term

32ohm - suitable for casual use, phone, laptop, pc without needed of amplification, however if you wish to increase the sound quality in future via DAC/Amplifier, the improvement might not be huge

250ohm - a must for Amplifier/ Good music player, it is design for you to go with decent amplification to get full sounding, if full amped, the 250ohm will sound better.

It is really depend on how u want to use normally.

Beyerdynamic Xelento - Experience the Magic of Tesla In-Ear

Date: 12-14th May 2017
Venue: Stars Picker
Time: Fri-Sat 12-10pm, Sun 12-8pm

user posted image

Introduction of XELENTO

"2 years ago, I’ve been impressed by the magic of miniaturized Tesla in-ear driver at Canjam SG. I can’t forget the super clean and transparent sound that enveloped by warm and lively bass of this single dynamic drivers. Sound stage is wide and natural. I can hear the position and every single detail of the instruments and singers clearly and accurately.

This amazing in-ear headphone has only ONE full range dynamic driver. It’s tiny and light compares with other multi-drivers BA earphones. However, it has similar sound signature with Beyerdynamic full-sized flagship headphones such as T1 and DT880/990.

It was named as AKT8iE in 2015. Now, it has a new name, #XELENTO.

Xelento is handcrafted in Germany with professional ethic and precise skill. Anyone who trusts “German Sound” should also have faith in this art work that created by Beyerdynamic’s most advanced technology!

* AKT8iE is the world first Tesla in-ear headphone that released by Beyerdynamic and the industry-leading music player’s manufacturer Astell & Kern around 2 years ago. Xelento which was released in late 2016, is another new model that tuned and redesigned by Beyerdynamic. Both of them are using similar technology but there are still some noticeable differences in sound signature. Kindly read this review if you’re interested: https://goo.gl/WuVx07"
