u guys prefer tank over dps or dps over tank ? going to roll a monk

IINM, DPS is always better, unless you are really short of money

not much gold left.. 10m here and barely able to afford a dex, vit , resist , LOH ring

it's not a binary choice.

as melee, you NEED a certain level of defense to take hits. You can never play a full glass cannon style like you can with wiz or DH. Once you have "enough" defense, your choice is then whether to stack more defense (cheaper) to last longer, or stack more offense (way more expensive) to kill quicker.

Monk always need to tank whether you like it or not.

guys... i just pass inferno act 1, when comes to inferno act 2, i cant fight elite at all.. my current stat ia as below..

boost AR and hp lor... around 800 AR and 30k hp ok. Use earth ally.

The enchantress is my fubu. Never bothered using the other 2. She gives attack speed and armor bonus and often dirty talk with my monk.

im a lvl50 monk in nightmare, keep dying while fighting rakanoth. any tips how to beat him? got killed instantly with his teleport-swing-sword move..

Serenity and more dps. Nightmare should not be a problem for a level 50 char, hell issit? Post your stats here?

Added on July 22, 2012, 8:46 pmMore dex more vit, ur life low. 12k dps not enough for act 2. I passed act 2 with 16k. Now struggle in act 3 just get past catapult down to keep cellar level looking for Ghom.

thx.. 800 AR is before buff or after buff?

I just completed A2 Inferno. Play co-op public game.
Comfortable with dual-wield throughout the game.
Killed each and every mob/elite/boss we saw.

18K DPS / 42K HP / 620+ AR / 5500 Armor / 850 LOH

I'll upgrade my shoulder and bracer armor. That should give me slightly more DEX/VIT/AR/DPS.
I'll need a barb in A3/A4.

AR = All-resist
I picked all resist because I can use the same gears for my DH.

My best fist weapon was only 600+dps.
I used it until A4 Hell.

I'll using axe & spear in A1/A2 Inferno.

wah bro ,, i complete A4 hell wif less than 200dps item =( lvling too slow

My brain wasn't working fine... too long hours gaming.
I meant I was using axe & spear (dual-wield) in A1 & A2 inferno.
I'm now in A3 Inferno.

oh.. so need to find a good axe/spear combination for act 3 inferno eh? kk. thx for the info..

( still in act 3 hell tho ) just wanted to be sure what weapon/equipment to use in inferno

600+ dps.. my fist is only 300 dps.. and im at lvl 57

you dont need an axe/spear combination, any 1 hand with good stats/dps would do
