QUOTE(GameSky @ Jul 16 2012, 09:37 PM) Someone posted a quick fix to the quick launch before in V5: when the quick launch is not working, go to the Album app, and then QUIT the app by hitting the 'Back' button (not the 'Home' button). This works for me 100%. Seems to be a bug. This post has been edited by TitaniumZ: Jul 17 2012, 08:03 AM |

QUOTE(GameSky @ Jul 17 2012, 10:08 AM) It doesn't matter or not you are using Album app or not, what I found is when quick launch is not working as it should, just open and then quit the Album app then the quick launch will be working fine. |

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jul 17 2012, 02:57 PM) Then you really should try Fatal Frame. Unlike SH and PE where the monsters are killable with firearms, in FF your only weapon is the camera flashlight which only repel/stunt the ghosts temporary. QUOTE(x3dn16 @ Jul 18 2012, 01:34 PM) no idea about that, how to try that?? even the phone itself while connected to wifi,it wont shows there are new system update... Unless you've disabled it beforehand, else you just plug your phone to a pc via usb the phone will prompt you to install pc companion, follow the instruction to install it. Then launch pc companion, it'll automatically search for new firmware. |

QUOTE(x3dn16 @ Jul 18 2012, 03:33 PM) i have no idea about that, will check later. but if disabled. how to enable it back? To enable/disable PC Companion installation prompt, go to Settings>Xperia>Connectivity>Install PC Companionbtw if the option above is also not working, any other alternative?? I believe you were trying to use the 'Update Centre' app to get OTA firmware update. I think OTA update is not available in M'sia as this 'Update Centre' app never find any updates. QUOTE(mxlynn @ Jul 21 2012, 08:33 AM) i think something is wrong with my battery already. i only charge it for 1hour and from 10% become 90%~ i tested it using the *#*#service#*#* but it says its working fine. T_T anyone? I would like my XPS can be charged from 10% to 90% in one hour...I think you should start to worry when your battery drops from 90% to 10% in one hour... And yeah, you should check which model is your charger. EP800 is the standard M'sia ori set charger, the one with Fast Charge functionality is EP850, which unfortunately is not included in M'sia ori set. QUOTE(xerox8908 @ Jul 22 2012, 09:21 PM) As i mention before , quick launch is totally work . In fact based on your finding I found that whenever quick launch is not working, even not using the Album app, simply open then close Album app quick launch will work. This must be a bug.In the condition gallery/album application is closed nicely before you turn off the screen . ( use back button , not home ) Added on July 23, 2012, 8:00 am QUOTE(Ask_Yip @ Jul 23 2012, 07:47 AM) Is it not recommended to update ICS yet? All depend on whether you can accept the pros and cons to get your xps updated. You can search online, they are everywhere.I heard mostly say problem but some say are OK, so confusing. Still in stock gingerbread since the phone is less than 24 hours old This post has been edited by TitaniumZ: Jul 23 2012, 08:00 AM |

QUOTE(nordingh @ Jul 26 2012, 02:54 AM) Sony refusing hardware repairs on handsets with unlocked bootloaders I'm pretty sure people who have the bootloaders unlocked understand this will void the warranty. Although this may not be ethical enough, but it's Sony's right to refuse warranty claim where the user knowing unlocked bootloaders will void the warranty terms in the first place.http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/07/25/sony-...medium=facebook A number of users are reporting that Sony Mobile is refusing to repair handsets with hardware issues such as the yellow-tint display problem because their bootloader has been unlocked. Some customers who have sent in their handset to Sony have had them returned without repair due to the “illegal unlock” of their mobile. Whilst this is not the case in all regions, it does at least seem to affect those sending handsets to UK and Dutch Sony repair centres. |

QUOTE(exkaizen @ Jul 26 2012, 09:11 AM) yes.. software can affect hardware certain degree... but for the well known yellow-tint issue... I believe it's not related to software... If your board,cpu/GPU fried due to overclocking after unlocked bootloader... then don't claim the warranty since its confirm void already... Legally Sony has every right to not to honor any warranty claim as long as it's void. Even you can prove that the yellow tint happened before you unlock the bootloader, the question will be why you did not claim the warranty then but only after you violate the warranty terms? In such case you'll need legal backing, not ethical backing to fight and obviously, clearly understanding that unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty but still doing it, you lost your legal stand.Basically if you know the model have few issue and know that warranty is void... don't unlocked the bootloader... Ethically Sony should honor the warranty because yellow tint is a manufacturing defect but you give Sony the chance to not honoring it by happily unlock the bootloader. If Sony honor such warranty and open the floodgate, you can expect all sorts of funny/strange/unreasonable claims will rush to them. It's not the few cases now that matter but are those will be coming in the future worries Sony. Added on July 26, 2012, 11:57 am QUOTE(Ask_Yip @ Jul 26 2012, 11:52 AM) Normal USB power supply is small, that's why it's slow. Wall socket is still the best way to recharge. This post has been edited by TitaniumZ: Jul 26 2012, 11:59 AM |
