When I first get my phone, I update straight using PC Companion... then when I insert my sim, also said emergency call only.. cannot detect my sim. So I went to digi centre and they help me to reset to factory setting... after that can detect my digi sim already... then only i update using pc companion again |

My xps comes with supplied micro SIM but still not activated (takes 2 working days). Eager to use my new phone, I cut my normal SIM using scissor, and it works fine.

Nowadays factory reset is easy. Everything can be backup/synchronize to pc/Google. During my Nokia 3310 days, needs to manually wrote down all the phone number before factory reset. SIM card also can save limited amount of numbers only.

I still prefer the current design. Kinda differentiate it from other smartphone. Nowadays, design are too generic.

Recently I bought my wife a Galaxy Nexus (was gonna to buy XPP but get the AP GNex at the end), and updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I found that whenever GNex screen off the phone will be in 'sleep' i.e. the battery usage page will show screen off and sleep as the same pattern. My XPS on the other hand, is almost awake all the time, be the screen on or off. Wondering what bloatware is hogging the battery...
