They told me if my car break down half way on the road, just call Honda toll free service, they will send technician to come over and toll my car to the nearest service center without charging. blush.gif Battery need to change at service center as Hybrid battery is different than normal 24V battery.

Thanks for sharing the info.
I think I read somewhere that Honda also need to reset the Hybrid battery and its electronics after changing the front battery.

Yes. U r right. If the battery totally kong, can't start at all, they need to reset all the setting after replace the new battery. It will take few hour to done all setting and calibration. Tat's y each time we go service our car, they will run the battery testing, b4 the battery totally kong, they will advise us to change the battery. If the battery haven't totally kong, u know how they change the battery?

They will start our car, then let the engine keep running, take out the old battery and replace the new battery and connect the cable back. Then they no need to reset everything.

Ah, yes. That confirms the text I read some time ago.

The replacement with engine running is also the easier way so that the settings are not screwed. I would prefer this to having to face all the hassle of calling/waiting/towing my car back to SC. So I guess at next service if Honda told me time to change battery, I can just say no need. I then go outside to change it since outside mechanic surely know how to change battery with engine running. Correct me if I am wrong? sweat.gif

Yes i am. After test drive of so many other segment car, i feel HCH is the best for me with the price range. Compare to Sonata 2.4, our HCH have more powerful on speed up. Stering also more light and comfortable to turn. Compare to Camry 2.0, pick up lose a bit, sound proof camry better but FC can beat camry any time. blush.gif thumbup.gif

So far, I tested Honda CR-Z, City2014 V-spec, Altis2014-V, Optima K5, Mazda6, Peugeot (forgot model), Hyundai Elantra, Prius (the big one, not 'C').

City - if i am short on cash but still want a great awesome car.
Mazda6 - if I have that much money to burn.

Altis2014 V-spec - I really wanted this...very nice exterior, driver seat, performance of CVT. But inside...everything failed my expectation. I will not be happy sitting inside this car everyday.

Prius - I like its futuristic dashboard, smooth gearbox & engine, smooth regenerative braking.

If I had to re-consider which car to buy all over again...I would put my money on HCH again for best overall value vs features.

I feel the same with u on the Altis, outlook very good but interior look like uncle car. Outdated design and color using. Honda City 2014 look quit nice, performance also very good. Plan to get it for my wife but not so soon. Now still selling like hot cake, not much discount. Prius no more available in the market, our HCH also same. Just check with Kah Motor Honda puchong, HCH now selling at RM177,000, fully imported from Thailand. doh.gif

The Toyota Altis SA was emphasizing to me (a few times) that Altis steering wheel is very good now as it is light and will get heavier when speed is higher. I tested its steering, drove it slow when in traffic area & parking at showroom, and drove fast on highway. The SA was kind and helpful. I had a good long enough test drove duration.

Like you said, I realised I enjoy driving HCH even more bcoz its steering wheel is lighter than Altis.
