Oscar is a little bit of iniesta and little bit of Alonso haha. If premier league is kind to him, he can grow to be a superb player.

Added on August 8, 2012, 3:23 amAnother sweet assist by Oscar

Huntelaar is not under rated player. With Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Lampard, Marin theres too many playmaker already. Im afraid Chelsea will turn into Real Madrid's galacticos era

everyone fight for their place. No one is guaranteed on the starting line-up. But definitely there'll be some squad rotation

Huntelaar is not a playmaker. He's a scoring machine and the ideal replacement for Didier Drogba with sensible price. nod.gif

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

Squad No: 25
Position: Forward
Age: 26
Birth Date: Aug 12, 1986
Birth Place: Drempt, Netherlands
Height: 6' 1'' (1.85m)
Weight: 78 kg

A striker with a fearsome goalscoring record in Dutch football, Huntelaar is highly-rated despite having failed to perform at both AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Huntelaar started his career with PSV Eindhoven but after failing to break into the team he was loaned to De Graafschap and Apeldoorn. After turning down a new deal at PSV he headed to Heerenveen, scoring 33 goals in just 46 Eredivise games. That form led to a £6 million move to Ajax in January 2006 and he went on to plunder an outstanding 76 goals in a mere 92 league games.

Signed by Real in January 2009, his move got off to the worst possible start when a misunderstanding over UEFA's registration rules meant he could not be named in the club's Champions League squad. And following Real's move for a new crop of galacticos he was sold after just seven months.

Choosing to rebuild his career in Milan, Huntelaar also failed to shine at the San Siro and opted to move on after a year of similar woes. Finding his feet in German football though, he quickly got back to his best at Schalke where he netted 48 goals in 47 starts in his second season.

A Dutch international, the striker made his debut in 2006 but fell out of favour ahead of the 2010 and was also benched for Robin van Persie at Euro 2012 despite his recent run of excellent form.

Strengths: A superb ability to hit the back of the net but also with the control to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Huntelaar is also very strong in the air.

Weaknesses: He may lack the pace needed to become a truly top striker, while his game also depends a great deal on delivery and he is unlikely to go looking for the ball like Wayne Rooney would.

Career high: Being named top scorer and Player of the Tournament at the 2006 UEFA Under-21 Championship.

Career low: Being sold by Real Madrid despite scoring eight goals in 13 starts for the Spanish giants.

Style: Strong, quick, positionally excellent, a predator in the box.

Quotes: "I scored eight goals in 13 starting matches [for Real]. I did what I could, the rest was all politics. I couldn't influence that. It's not fun when the new coach says: 'you won't even get a chance to prove your worth, we want to sell you'. It's new people, new policies. So, this is Real's new strategy." Klass-Jan Huntelaar, August 2009.

Trivia: Apeldoorn named their new stand after Huntelaar in 2007, despite the fact the striker had only spent one season on loan at the club, in 2003-04. He scored 26 goals in 35 games, was the Eerste Divisie's top scorer and also the second tier's Player of the Year. He put the club on the map after they had been in the amateur game for 32 years.

Maybe one or two of them but not all. I would keep Meireles and Essien. We need some depth and bench players. They can provide alternatives and cover for injuries. Some of the experienced players should remain.

we link with alvaro perreira. not a necessary addition i believe. + a porto player surely cost a bomb. hopefully we can land azpilicueta before the season kick off. as for moses, i don't really think he good enough for chelsea. even as a bench player. another SWP i'm afraid.
