2007-2009
-Been running 10k from 2007-2009 (3 years)
-Like most dedicated runners, we ran whether it was rain or shine, night or day, weekdays or weekends. hehe blush.gif

2009
-Sigh. Had a leg injury on September 2009. sad.gif
-Due to the injury I would feel Pain every-time i ran more than 10 mins. sad.gif
-The leg also will swell badly, and i'll start limping for weeks. Even hopping up the stairs coz i couldn't climb.

2009-2010
-Went to see a doc. After months of recovery, I alternated between running + resting, but the pain kept coming back.
-Doc told me to give up running. So did my family. Even colleagues told me to stop. Haiz...
-Felt so demotivated so i finally quit running in 2010. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

2010-2012
-Been really putting on the extra pounds these past years, omg. sweat.gif Gained more than 8++ kg since i stopped running, haha. Really a fat %%#$ lately, lol... shirt and pants also can't fit dy, sheesh. blush.gif

Time to put an END to this nonsense, grrr! mad.gif

2012
-Tried my luck again a few weeks back to run again. Hmm, seems like the injury is totally gone? ohmy.gif
-Ran a few times last week just to test. Hmm, seem to be doing fine. Hmm....

-So, I think i'll keep a journal from now on, with today as my Official starting day.

Added on July 10, 2012, 5:21 pmTRAINING LOG for 2012:

do intervals, and pack your legs with ice after a run.

you did not say what was the exact nature of your injury.

@roadtorecovery
you run alot, so i'm guessing your leg injury was either an IT band issue or something to do with your general knee area.

could you mention your running style/foot strike, pronation and warm-up routine, if you don't mind.
