Don't think anyone here will have the answer. If it last for months, those running nite biz will be in deep trouble.

I don't think curfew will last more than a month because the country economy is at stake. Just my own prediction.

Has anyone referenced the thai baht exchange rate at a Malaysian currency exchange outlet these few days?? The bank rates are MYR 1 = THB 10.xx from what I see, but it seems the money changers in my area haven't caught up with the rates yet.

My friends changed their Baht on Monday they got RM.100.00 = 990.00 Baht

"All of the shopping malls and markets are also open as normal. However, due to the nightly curfew, you will find that malls will close at 8 p.m. Bars and restaurants will also close early. Even 7-Eleven locked it’s doors at 10 p.m. In addition, the skytrain stopped running at 9 p.m."

Flight on next week with friends and now we have to cancel it.

Anyone can advise on the insurance coverage for travelers in Bangkok? Does the curfew and coup void everything including sickness and accident non-related to the civil unrest?

You may end up in jail, don't fool around once curfew set in, they set the rules for a reason.

Still safe to go because all protest activities have stopped and everyone have to stay indoor by 10p.m. My friends in BKK have to resort to house party as pubs and clubs all closed.

Hi all..
Saying hi from Bangkok....
Arrives here yesterday night...
Well about the curfew i think it doesn't cause that much problems as we thought...
Most of the shopping malls, 7eleven and even MRT&BTS did closed earlier compared to normal days...
But not for some of the night life...
I reacher my hotel around 9.30PM and rushed to have dinner...
Quite shocked that most of the shops and stalls still opening after 10PM (those pasar malam stalls of course)...
Still the road is busy and I didn't see any army forces around the hotel i stay( Chada Hotel)...
The curfew does cause some inconinience but I think it's still safe to travel to Bangkok...
Just wake up earlier if you plan to go shopping...
Peace out...
