QUOTE(nicotine @ Apr 1 2007, 08:39 AM)
hi brudders,

my car were facing some bad idle problem ever since i tested a year 2000 1.5 meter panel few month ago, it somehow mess up my engine idle timming, now my engine will somehow stall when i'm engaging "free/neutral" during down shifting or slowing down ishh.

Although it does not happen frequently but it's not funny to have a dead engine and power steering while taking a corner at moderate speed such as 80 km/h.. duh

hrrmm does anyone know how to tune or increase fuel intake/timing for siemens ecu-ed based car ? or any workshop recomendation around serdang or sunway?

brr sucky plotong .. wila 1.3 m
*
just clean your throttle body. common problem with seimens ecued cars. do not try to tune the car too often as there's a small spring in the throttle body that will lose it's tension after too much tuning. best to clean the throttle body and that will solve your problems. call me if u need help doing that at 013-3420849. i'm near the mines. cheers!

Anyone?

bite the bullet and just go for the 4g91 1.5 transplant, or if u have more money, a mivec 1.6 halfcut. after changing the engine, shocks & bushes, the car should feel like it's been given a new lease of life brows.gif

lol... Maybe you all can help me with this.

Option 1.
Due to my low budget,I'm able to fork out RM20k to buy a 2ndhand wira 1.3 which is around year 2001-2002/3.

Option 2.
Get the RM7k 2ndhand Wira and convert the engine as said in my previous post.

Which option is more worth it and require less repairs and services?
FC wise?
*
20k for a 1.3 wira? waste of money

if u can get the wira for 7k, do a complete 4g91 transplant inclusive of new shocks, bushes & paint work, tinting for 10k, u'll still spend only 17k. the other 3k from the 20k budget can use to spend us makan brows.gif

I would prefer 1.3 as it consume less fuel which is easier on me,as I'm still a student.lol

So what do you all think?
*
1.3 pulling the same body as a 1.5. the engine which strains more will use more petrol. u do the maths. the 1.3 wira is using an engine that dates back close to 20 years. the 4g91 is close to 8 years. i'm quite sure that the 4g91's fuel consumption would be the same, if not better than the 1.3

Well, you see, what I need is just good fc and cheap maintenance.
So is the 4G91 suitable in terms of fc and maintenance?

Any shops in PJ does this?
*
i've got a wira 4g91 conversion in the process. u wanna take a look?

1.5(a) Injection leh, tot injection more fuel economy  sad.gif

My open pot has heat shield and i have further shield my 4-2-1 extractor and have installed a CAI.

Service regularly and i just decarbon my engine only see lil bit improvement on the FC, use to be rm50 for 200km only b4 decarbon!

Another thing is i went to a lot of workshop, i told them about the problem and u know wut they say, AIYA WIRA 1.5 AR, AUTO SOME MORE SURE EAT FUEL LA, NO PROBLEM LA!  mad.gif

From the feedback of other 1.5i(A) owner their ride seems to be ok compared to mine. rm0.22/km is just bit too high even for an auto i think turbo car also around that figure, haiz petrol burning a hole in my pocket liao!

Oh ya rm14+ only  biggrin.gif
Two bottle should do the job if 1st time!
*
as far as cleaning injectors go, i still prefer to take them out and clean them the proper way. if u think in tank injector cleaners are good, wait till u try the ultrasonic injector cleaners! once a year is enuf.

I think autochild is offering rm50 per injector for ultrasonic cleaning! but those in tank injector cleaner are just a cheaper alternative if u dont want spend a lot of money =p
*
we do ultrasonic injector cleaning at rm35 per piece. we also check the flow of the injectors to see if they're spraying properly. labor to remove and replace all 4 injectors is rm25.

4g92p can go twin cam, but only if u use the 4g91/93 head, and some work needs to be done to fit a distributor on it.
