I tot I did answer u , with post of one of the member who got it cheap at Ss2. Somewhere 2 pg back by Szern. Oh..he did answer u.

Btw, don get Home theatre system since u got Stand alone 3 D player, S485. U can go for AV system set w/o player such as Yamaha, Pioneer, Philips etc. they shd hv range about RM1K+. U can thereafter direct digital audio link to the AV set. That's what happen to my frens home theatre where his player malfunction it affect his whole audio system. Get split units offering its speciality either audio or visual.

hey guys!

is normal LG LED tv worth buying? (non 3-D) feel like getting myself a new 42 or 47 inch led
*
It's under LS model series. It's either Samsung or LG for me. Only LG offer slight cheaper & larger size than Samsung. I took LG LM series for its superb 3 D.

4) LG 55LM4610 - RM4399
5) 55LS5700 - RM4399

good buy ?

No....I'm pretty sure u can get way cheaper than that suggested price. Check further from members recommended outlet and not SenQ or Harvey Norman or large chain outlet. Theirs is way expensive by RM1+.

Dear all Sifus,

First of all, I want to thank Xstan. Right now I'll be targeting either 42LM6700 or 47LM6700.

Secondly questions come:-

1) Is the price in SS2 (42LM6700 ~ RM3000+) come with free installation and TV wall bracket?
2) Can I ask for extra 3D glasses?
3) My budget is about RM2000 for home theater or AV set. Which brand/ model/ combination is recommended? My friend told me to have AV set is better as it can channel more HDMI (Astro, BD player, laptop) with only one remote controller and better sound quality.

Many thanks...
*
I think u can get 2set of family pack of 8 glasses. 1 set caeme in box while the other given. Just claim your fren has it. There also free 3D kpop bluray by LG which they do gve away as well. No free wall bracket, but if u get one do get the mid range that can tilt for you to access the back screen. It cost about RZm120 +. But then u loose the beautiful stand.

Yes, AV set is better than home theatre. At least u got option to buy other brands bd player etc. that's exactly what happen when my fren HT DVD player malfunction. The whole set useless. u can either get soundbar like 1 other member here just did. Get Sony player pS485 w/o Cinavia compliant.

Yes, supposedly. Never encounter but I disabled it as well as advice by many reviewers. U may do that after last firmware update. Now u can control the level. I just disabled it.

Some ppl love those effect. But not me. It can be disabled then its good. Maybe one last question before i really decide. Is 47" big enough for a satisfying 3D viewing?
*
Unless u leave in a large bungalow or with spacious living hall, get that 55". Or else just sit very far distance away to enjoy optimum view. For me , Im happy with 47" with optimum view. If u want to climb into the screen, then view the 47 " at very close range say 2 feet away. Large screen doesnt necessary means good. And 3D doesn't mean pics popping out to eat u or so....it's deapth. Many tot by buying large screen , one can actually enter , feel & touch the actors in that movies particularly the x rated scenes.

Ya ...just dont expect so much.

Wow. Some much support for LM6700. I did not think highly of LG and been supporter of Sony, Pana, Samsung and Toshiba. Will now include LG.

For LM6700, how does the PQ of Astro SD compared to other makes? IMO, Toshiba & one Phillips model appears to have better PQ compared to others, even high-end Samsung.

Owners of LM6700, we love to hear from you.
*
Same here..wasn't into LG until my bro in law & my dads Lg LCD TV showing real unexpected good PQ. While I was still with Samsung & Pana. I wasn't yet convince until this LM series 3D. I bought this TV for its impressive 3D but was even glad that it produce top notch HD & SD pics. Now watching everything in this TV LM6700 is like distressing oneself. What a Beauty.....what an arts, what a creation.
BTW ...Everthing is Korean nowadays, brand, music, movies, drama, beauty, automobiles, scenic , phones etc. even ladies. Guess, where did Japan brands source it's LED? Who will launch 1st OLED TV?

Anyway, everyone has its own brand favorite, u can't compare one another. Just immerse yourself. All brands has its own disadvantages. Just don't expect 100%.

Is Astro SD channel (WahLaiToi etc) better than Samsung or Sony?

What are your source of 3-D materials? You play from bluray? Or download and play via media player?
*

I only watch HD channels. Don watch Chinese channels. I own 2 Sony 3D bluray players & 1 Philips bluray player. I only watch blurays. But I watch movies in Cinema 1st b4 I own it on bluray. I'm not use to watching SD as I luv HD value more. That's answer?

Does anyone came across or own a LG 55LM6410 here?
It's an exclusive model carried by Senheng/SenQ only.

They having a promotion price at RM6,399....good deal? no?
No info on Malaysia LG Site.
From what I know, it's a higher model compared to LM6200 and come real close to LM6700.
MCI400, Built-In Wifi and Cinema Screen Design....
But it's alot cheaper than LM6700....

Any opinions on this?? Thanks
*
It's the fact that anything sold by SenQ is bloody expensive. You'll be surprise if the price for LGLM6700 way cheaper than the LM6410 at some of the smaller electrical appliances outlet.

It's matter of u preferring Active expensive 3D tv or Passive affordable 3D tv. R u preparing your entire family with small kids watching 3D @ wider angle day or night as in Passive or merely just a couple watching it only at night or dark room at only straight angle in Active 3 D? Your choice.

hi all...i got a lm6200 3d led tv...tried playing RIO (3D) with it....the 3d effects is not really that good.
I tried benchmarking it with G.N.A's - Top Girl MV which can be found in K-POP app there....such huge difference...the level of pop out effects was so good in the MV as compared to RIO...

Is it due to my blu-ray player or is it caused by the 3D settings in the TV? Noticed there's the depth and distance setting which can be tuned ... can someone advice?
*
Yes..what Winds mention is all true. 3D is about depth. Not so much about pop up. U will be greatly disappointed if all u want is pop up 3 D. Not all movies got pop up effect. Apart from Winds recommendation u may add many of the IMAX 3D documentary like Ultimate Wave Tahiti, Deep Sea etc. u have fish poping out, sea water spill your TV etc.

By the way, u have plenty o 3D demo on the LG Apps apart from Korea Pop. Some documentary got pop up effect. Go try out.

I went to Legend SS2 today (thanks to wind's reccomendation) and enquired the price for 47LM6700. The best they can offer me is RM4550 cash and carry with 8 pairs of 3D glasses.

The salesman was also reccomending an older model, 47LM6500, going at RM3800. Is this worth it? Coz for last year's model, I felt that the price is abit on the higher side. If he said RM3500, I would've taken it on the spot. I don't really care for the magic wand remote, so I am seriously considering this model. One thing that turns me off for this model is that the salesman claim that it cannot do the 2 player gaming in full screen thing. Is this true? I thought all passive 3D TV is able to support this.

I went to TBM Bangsar later, and their price is just ridiculous. RM5200 for 47LM6700 with 4 pairs of glasses. No further discounts. They said the RM4599 price does not exist.
Maybe I have face problem?? Haha...

I am not in a big hurry to get it now, coz my renovation wont be done until mid november. Any chances the price will drop furrther?

THanks!
*
Try check out model LM7600 as price gone down & is almost t par as LG LM6700. By the way..Why would u want to buy old tech which Shop is trying desperately disposing it. Old tech turn junk. People buy LM series for its fresh Tech, new features, new apps, update firmware etc. Just like buying a Waja due to cheap price instead of Inspira? No more spare parts already. Nobody bother to check your new toy of old tech.
