QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 6 2012, 12:23 PM)
section 23 kat mana ah? aku bab seksyen2 ni aku n00b sikit...havent been living in shah alam too long...

but theres a shop in glenmarie with falken board (next to a continental board shop) that does damn good alignment...
the RM160 one i went there coz supposedly quite good...pretty decent la..they know wat they talking about at least...
*
sek23 yg belakang carrefour tu. kedai tu nama die MT Tyres, kedai kecik corner lot. normally diorang tak push buat something yg tak perlu. Tapi tu sebab aku regular customer, aku rasa kadang2 diorang buat gak kot perangai common among kedai tayar. standard lah kan.. laugh.gif

Occasionally I pass by that Falken shop. I don't like to go to big shop with many cars cos hard to make friend and always full house on weekend.

Just changed  4pc tires yesterday alignment+balancing as well.

but car run left side after alignment; that time was rushing so did not go back to the shop.

did alignment again just now + adjust camber @ RM25 per side.

Car still bengkok tepi kiri................ and feel floaty...

Is this new tire behavior?
*
shouldnt be hmm.gif normal or unidirectional? when i got my ku31 last time (other shop..) i nearly drove out with wrongly mounted tire on one side lols. luckily felt suspicious n notice it. the guy quickly apologize n refit.

yesterday they proposed presa ps55 205/45/16 iinm for rm300. hmm.gif n saw a few stacks of bolex china tyre wrapped with green/white paper making it look premium..

my steering feels better now.

skidded while taking left hand corner at KM74 Karak Highway~ suddenly lost rear traction, hit the divider on the right, the impact pushed the car to the guard rail on the left side of the road, like pinball~

Dunno if its related or not.some tyres have pattern that require them to be mounted based on direction. So u cannot rotate them left n right. Only front n rear only. Seems that urs isnt one though. Falken 912? Imo they tend to be noisier than stock..grip i dunno

dun think it is solely bcoz of tyres~ even if you use super expensive tyres, if it meant to happen, it will happen~ unless u really use cap ayam tyres then it is another story~ a lot of thing can be d cause, u know la how tow truck do their business~ that can be a reason too~

yokohama adrive r1 is way better than stock conti, but on wet road, it's still not very confidence inspiring,
used it for 2 years before i switch to other makers

Using 205 tyres currently, nt much difference... U can use spacer, some of them done it before but need to trim someting... Was in Teck ming n the guy was explaining to me bout it, cost around 500 for rear alone, spacer, 2/2.5 inch...

wanna ask, which car FC would be better, Sentra (A) 1.6 or Satria Neo CPS (M)? I know that both are on the heavier side of the FC. But wondering if the CPS would be more economic to run compared to an old (150l) sentra.

Any1 can help me, my rear bumper damaged, cracked, how much is the original bodykit from proton or is it better to find secondhand OEM, or imitation R3? Any feedback would be gladly appreciated. Cost including installation and paint.

I dont need a car with FC like Myvi or so. Just want it to be slightly better than my current Sentra. There arent many good manual cars in Malaysia with a reasonable price tag. Satria somehow fits the bill, thats why i am interested.

hi guys

just came back from KL

after some careful try & error, feather light feet + some heavy feet here & there, i managed to get fc at 7.4L/100km as shown in the panel..recently this morning, from ipoh to kl, it shows 8-9L/100km..i can see the different on fuel meter where it doesnt move as much as i expected like morning before..

shud be ok, eh? hmm.gif

*disappointed with acceleration..still got 'sebu2', not like previously with rear stock exhaust*

Wonder y ur fc can b so different? Usually even if I drive slow or fast, usually difference is juz by 0.4 the most, 7.8 - 8.2L/100... Unless u drive at 90 during ur firs trip n then around 140 during ur 2nd trip... Sometimes the fuel meter is nt so accurate, so juz turn off ur engine for a while n turn it on bak n u should be getting a more accurate reading...

if highway should get better, try to reset it before starting ur journey on highway. i can get 5.8-6 on highway with current setup. but before use 4-2-1, 2 bullet and sflow can get 4.9.

Ipoh to KL;
- 90-120km/h on state road
- a mix of 110-120km/h with some 140-160km/h here & there on highway

KL to Ipoh;
- 110-120km/h mostly on highway + some minor 140km/h also
- 100-110km/h on state road + some part of the road maintain drive around 3k rpm

i think i already know how to do economy drive now biggrin.gif

Shouldn't rely on the meter so much, calculate manually for ron 95 total amount paid divide by 1.9, times 100 divide by total distance. To get total distance reset trip meter when filling fuel, preferably when the refuel sign is lighted.

no...u cant use tube...

nothing can be done when the sidewall is punctured... tire change is definitely needed...doesnt matter how many % thread the punctured tire still has.

get the tire changed....if too expensive, select cheaper tires

Your car really special case la.. my car how hard I try to push still stuck at 205kmh even when downhill. Maybe I need to install LCP cos ACP didnt give any different results. It just give a lil bit better torque band at high rpm but nothing significant eventhough I set the degree for better high end.

U ask me I also dunno la bro biggrin.gif infact my car still stock standard so I might give u ajaran sesat tongue.gif

It just from my observation n research after joining BOT gang to gather info cos my initial plan was to BOT my waja cps.

Supercharger not prone to overheat unlike turbo cos the power gain not thru exhaust. But the parasitic character will probably makes your engine fatigue faster. I mean the wear n tear parts lifecycle are shorten. Cos it uses the engine power to create supercharge power. So basically the more raw power your engine can produce the bigger gain the supercharger can give.

but someone from Wazi told me that GT-Auto gonna bring in billet from Australia company (forgot the name) specially made for Campro CPS. Tested on CPS got 10WHP increase. I would recommend you to go BK Motorsport as they the only Campro BOT installer that use front mounted turbo system. It has better cooling effect. Btw, if you want to BOT make sure you save enough money at least RM15k. You need standalone and forged low comp pistons. These two already cost you at least RM7k.

Billet are always better than regrind camshaft, that is for sure but do make sure the cams is suited for your style. Best is to go mild ones, 262/268/272 with not so high lift and overlap so you can get broad torque throughout the rev range biggrin.gif

Billet are always better than regrind camshaft, that is for sure but do make sure the cams is suited for your style. Best is to go mild ones, 262/268/272 with not so high lift and overlap so you can get broad torque throughout the rev range biggrin.gif

If you want lagi power, WORKS CAMS, kcng will sponsor =x

but someone from Wazi told me that GT-Auto gonna bring in billet from Australia company (forgot the name) specially made for Campro CPS. Tested on CPS got 10WHP increase. Billet is better than regrind cams based on that fella from wazi told me lah..  gonna be on market soon so I willing to wait a lil longer.

I would recommend you to go BK Motorsport as they the only Campro BOT installer that use front mounted turbo system. It has better cooling effect. Btw, if you want to BOT make sure you save enough money at least RM15k. You need standalone and forged low comp pistons. These two already cost you at least RM7k.

can regrind the camshaft based on your need. For CPS minimum is 280 for the intake same as R3 CPS in Satria Neo R3

that's why need management at least piggyback. But as told by wazi, CPS doesn't have low rpm issue and they recommend 282/282. taknak mati enjin memang kena tune ecu. GCC can tune our siemens vdo atau pasang je piggyback

Billet is different from normal hi cam. I've been told that for cps there's no issue on low rpm, I mean unlike normal campro, even with management it's not recommended to use cam with high degree spec . I dont know why need to ask the expert. But if wanna use hi cam definitely need management or retune our siemens vdo.

Billet is just a name for how the manufacturer produce the cam bro... machined out of a piece / block of material = billet..
hi cam needs management is partly because of the high overlap angle that they have which will cause bad idle quality and other problems that may arise with the overlaping of d intake and exhaust cams... thus.. needs some modification on the ignition timing and so on... details im not sure.. if the aftermarket hi cam overlap is not that much.. its still able to run on stock ecu...
Correct me if i'm wrong SIFUSSS... notworthy.gif

Added on July 19, 2012, 7:25 pmohhh 1 more thing... if u put very very very high lift + long duration cams.... and din upgrade fueling system... d valve hole open till big big... but all thats excessively coming in is only just air right? tongue.gif
so d piggyback / standalone is to optimize the fueling needs when d air intake is coming in more than usual stock as well... smile.gif

It's silver at first, after kena exhaust heat, it become brownish, sometime there's dark brown spots because during installation, there are fingerprint, grease etc on it surface

I'm using LM10W40 on my currently-wrecked neo cps auto~ so far no complain and the engine is smoother compared to Motul, Eneos and Petronas~ my personal experience though~ I also put in ceratec for added protection~ so far no problem on the engine reliability since I always do long distance journey at high speed (>160 km/h)~

bros!

satria neo cps owner here. white, manual & bought it on jan 2010. mileage - 39000+

first time check-in at this thread.

modification :-
engine - stock
rim & tyre - 17" using yokohama s-drive (205/40/17) in front, yokohama a-drive r1 (205/45/17) at the back
body - ultra racing bars (not all, just a few places)
bonnet - 3M carbon fiber sticker (i tell my friends its original carbon fiber)

problems :-
front right speaker pecah already since day 1 (3 complaints to different SC they say i need to pay to change)
back fender kena tayar (because change to 17" rims)
front headlights not terang enough when driving at night (gonna change after the lightblub hancur)
cannot go more than 180 km/h (ask proton, need to remove the limiter only can go faster. being typical proton. need to pay to remove the limiter)
back seat passenger very small & sempit (but good sometimes, not many of my friends want to tumpang my car biggrin.gif )

nice to meet all of youse! thumbup.gif

most probably is the spoiler and the engine not enough power to push it at the speed, i used to stuck at 180, then abit of upgrade here and there can reach 190 now.

Try run ur car on a dyno machine, it will go up all the way to 240, but on the road alot of other factor is slowing down the car.

yup. either way SC said need to pay to remove the rev cut (rm200)

anyone experience this before?

how fast have you tried? I remember it went all the way, unless the speedo is not accurate la.

and the 240 is only on dyno machine, on the road around 190 only.

and if you put it the figure into the calculation. its almost 240 la. biggrin.gif
http://www.apexgarage.com/tech/gear_ratios.shtml

1st gear 3.583
2nd gear 1.947
3rd gear 1.379
4th gear 1.030
5th gear 0.767
reverse 3.363
final 4.312

bros!

satria neo cps owner here. white, manual & bought it on jan 2010. mileage - 39000+

first time check-in at this thread.

modification :-
engine - stock
rim & tyre - 17" using yokohama s-drive (205/40/17) in front, yokohama a-drive r1 (205/45/17) at the back
body - ultra racing bars (not all, just a few places)
bonnet - 3M carbon fiber sticker (i tell my friends its original carbon fiber)

problems :-
front right speaker pecah already since day 1 (3 complaints to different SC they say i need to pay to change)
back fender kena tayar (because change to 17" rims)
front headlights not terang enough when driving at night (gonna change after the lightblub hancur)
cannot go more than 180 km/h (ask proton, need to remove the limiter only can go faster. being typical proton. need to pay to remove the limiter)
back seat passenger very small & sempit (but good sometimes, not many of my friends want to tumpang my car  biggrin.gif  )
nice to meet all of youse!  thumbup.gif
*
U better be careful wif 17inch rims... if u go too fast on bumps then be prepare to knock ur dented front fender... Previously I had the same issue if I bring more then 2 person on an uneven road, back tyre will hit the fender..

Agree with the light bulb, dam tak terang...

About the speed, same issue here but yet to try without spoiler.. Without spoiler looks dam cacat la...

definitely not the spoiler. ask 2 different satria neo club & 1 mechanic used to work on satria neo for MME. they say remove the rev cut can increase top speed already.

with the current speed for satria neo wont effect much because of the spoiler. unless ur neo more than 160 horsepower & torque mcm supercar.

conclusion. spoiler doesn't effect top speed for satria neo cps.

=D

My logic thinking still says its the spoiler. If neo had enough power to compensate resistance created by the spoiler then ok. Hence its not the case and the spoiler is damn huge which provide quite significant drag for the 125hp. biggrin.gif imo lar.

yup. but at most reduce 1-2 km/h only. not up to 5km/h - 10km/h.

ramai org comfirm with the rev cut already. just need proton to remove it.

just run your car on dyno and see at what rpm the power drop, no point to rev high if the power start drop earlier then that.

dont think there is limitation at the gearbox, tried when on the dyno, it dind't stuck at 5krpm also. I would say the engine don't have enough power to push it on the road.

im referring to your comment on the 5th gear, 1st to 4th gear of course can rev till rev cut, but 5th on the road, then engine don't have enuf power to push it.

btw, from your dyno chart, the line that goes all the way to 7rpm is the HP not the torque.

Btw, ur graph looks good, care to share what you have done?

Btw, ur graph looks good, care to share what you have done?

ya I know. but I ever drag race with my friend same car Waja CPS, his car 6500rpm already no power unlike mine where I can shift at 7000rpm and winning him by big margin. I am still not sure the no power or putus nafas is because of no more torque or because of lower hp?

Just 4-1 header cap ayam from Kakiexhaust and straight flow muffler from HKS (imitation) that's all. Recently I installed Works adj. cam pulley. Dunno whether got power increase or not. I tried 0-100kmh the result still the same like before install the ACP. My setting is to get mid to high end power. Need to dyno again, need to see the powerband difference.

Your setup is more towards top speed wangan style
4-1 header, pushes the powerband to the high end + straight flow muffler

Your ACP is it set to base or retard? If retard a bit, it pushes your powerband a little bit higher hence you are able to still get power up till 7000rpm

What i wanna recommend is the Motul Coolant. Way too better compare to Toyota , Redline or forged racing coolant.
(P/S: Im doing 2 liter coolant and the rest is battery water.)

Exterior :-

-Stock CPS bodykit with R3 Lips

See the mod list consider stage 2 already. Piggyback doesnt help much besides giving smoother enginr operation. He has installed FPR n complimentary kit so no need piggy already. Superstreet also known for giving noticeable power increase.

Yup but then hard to compare since many of us dyno based on wheel. Nothing's wrong with on crank but it'd be better if on wheel so that we can share our results n compare not to show whose car is better but to share info, knowledge n how to achieve the same result. Hehe..

Power wise, it depends on the function of the piggyback. I myself never experience with piggyback, cos I wanna jump straight to standalone.

mutt is wrong... management (piggyback/standalone) WILL help over no management...especially if have ignition tuning....yes it will give smoother engine operation but smoother engine operation will mean better reliability, and should give higher horsepower. n mebbe better fuel consumption too.

i oso have those kinda mods and even more with my built engine block... but im in desperate need of proper ignition tuning....my engine is rough as hell and graph is like a bloody earthquake

no offense to mutt or anyone else.....but this whole "no need management" thing is so wrong and imho asking for trouble. having all that muscle but no brain to control and manage the muscle properly for wat?

just because a few builders/tuners have successfully built engines without management doesnt mean that the management wont help...im sure the management will help to better fine tune the engine and squeeze out more power from the mods.

plus...thousands of other builders around the world have also proven that management will help and be more beneficial. id take the word of thousands over the few

I see, what about the fuel railing and fuel injectors? Any effect on FC for those mods?

I might want to change my clutch soon also..... feels abit 'loose' like slipping especially when high rev from 1st gear then shift to 2nd. I feels like got some lag for the car to go forwards. hmm.gif

Anyways, Exedy is a more established brand compared to Works, but the price also... hehe. Can try Dori-dori, they sell clutches also but not sure which brand. But I like their service very much.

What makes you confused? Both different brand/model some functions wouldn't be the same. I have tried a Neo CPS with 3 puck 8 1/2 inch exedy clutch. I can shift faster compare with my stock waja. 2nd gear wheelspin sweat.gif. I always think that racing clutch very stiff but after I tried, not that stiff la.. still acceptable for daily drive.

Im using iridium since the 1st week I bought the car, together with K&N drop in filter...

By the way tried again in MEX yesterday, the max RPM I could reach was around 5.7K n Speed was around 185-190km/h n tat was after driving for about 5 - 10 minutes at 180km/h... So nt sure if the REV cut really exist as I cant seem to push it beyond 185km/h~....

My GPS tested in few cars and all read about 5-10kmh slower..

Myvi, Pajero Sports, Wira, Neo, and a few friends' car

I believe it's not the speedo at fault..it's the fact that there's is a "lag" between signals of the satellite to receiver =P

Hi guys, i have a used 5 months old 4-2-1 SuperCircuit s/steel extractor for u all to grab it. The price is RM450 only..if u buy brand new costs RM650 if not mistaken. Item condition is good..just a little scratch. View to believe. The best recommended 4-2-1 extractor.. very noticeable at mid rpm. alot of torque gained. Reason to sell extractor = downgrade/sell car.
