is it a must to learn kanji to learn japanese? i read from a website there's like 80000 kanji characters...can't every single thing be represented with kana alone?
hehe anyone know of any mobile flashcard application? so that can install in handphone...preferably with pronounciation thks
why? cos its easier to read in kanji. when u have everything in hiragana, u dont know where the word stops or starts and the same hiragana might have different meanings. of course studying 80000 characters is also mad and insane
Basu ga kimasen. Watashi wa hitori de daigaku e ikkimashita. Hitori de niju-fun gurai kakarimasu.
Watashi wa hitori de daigaku e ikkimiashita. means i went to uni by myself. doesnt make sense. i could still take a bus and go to uni. or a car or something.
Watashi wa aruite daigaku e kimashita. means i walked to the uni. use kimashita instead or ikkimashita because u're already at the uni.
Basu ga kimasen. -> basu ga kimasendeshita (past tense)
hachi-ji = 8 o'clock , hachi-jikan= 8 hours
if u want a more fluid speech, drop the watshi, its understood ure talking about yourself.
dozo okake kudasai -> im not too sure what okake means but i think its used when addressing people of a higher status.
