I'm running on cm9. When I flash horsepower kernel, my cm9 version will change to an older one, not the one I flashed. Any idea why this is happening?

I think it changes the ROM version only. Because when i checked the rom version, it's not a version that i flashed before. So i think you're right.

For us, I remember they said it'll be released in the 4th quarter =( Long way to go...

Same here. I just backup app+data for Whatsapp and all my conversations are there after I restore WhatsApp for new ROM.

I'm I9100G user, running on CM10.

When I connect my phone to my windows pc, it says that my phone is connected as a media device. I found out that it is not possible to transfer files from my phone's External SD card to my pc. Any way to solve this?

EDIT: I reflashed the latest CM10 nightly 20120823 (w/o horsepower kernel) but I still dont see the option for mass storage. Something wrong with my phone?

oops, i forgot to try that app after reflashing. I just checked the options in usb computer connection. Will report when I flash the latest nightly.

It just says usb storage in use but there's nothing in "my computer". can't access my files thru my computer. I'll stick to the mtp for now

Two questions:

1. What kernel settings will have the best battery life? I want the most hardcore one if possible

2. No, I haven't. It's not that I don't trust your tweaks, but will the difference be significant? I'm still quite new to all these stuff, so it was kinda overwhelming when I read your XDA thread.

Hi all. I'm using CM10, I9100G. I recently flashed the new CM10 Bootanimation.zip file. Any ideas how to remove it? Which means I plan to use whatever boot animation that comes with the latest cm10 nightly.

I downloaded the file from this link and flashed it with CWM Recovery. How do I know if it replaces the original bootanimation.zip file?

I used ES file explorer in my phone to view the bootanimation.zip in my rom zip file but it says that the file can't be opened.

I used my computer to view the bootanimation.zip in the rom zip file and found out that the file size is different than the one in /system/media. So what do i do?

It says "cannot open the nested ZIP-like file" when i press the bootanimation.zip file in my rom zip file. I'm using ES file explorer. I find this weird.

EDIT: I tried copying the bootanimation from my rom zip file using my computer to my ext SD card. Then, I tried copy and paste. To my surprise, the bootanimation.zip in my /system/media can't be deleted. Perhaps ES file explorer is the problem?
