I'm running on cm9. When I flash horsepower kernel, my cm9 version will change to an older one, not the one I flashed. Any idea why this is happening?

QUOTE(antt00 @ Aug 12 2012, 01:20 AM) No idea. A kernel is not suppose to do that, unless u read the versions wrongly. But if it somehow changes the rom version shown only but NOT actually reverting the rom (which is not possible for a kernel to do) then there is no issue actually. I think it changes the ROM version only. Because when i checked the rom version, it's not a version that i flashed before. So i think you're right. |

I'm using cm9 now. I9100g. Is there a way to delete ALL my contacts at once? There are too many duplicates in my contacts. Thanks!

I'm I9100G user, running on CM10.
When I connect my phone to my windows pc, it says that my phone is connected as a media device. I found out that it is not possible to transfer files from my phone's External SD card to my pc. Any way to solve this? Thanks! |

QUOTE(arslow @ Aug 24 2012, 12:49 AM) another person on i9100g and cm10 said it works,so...maybe ur kernel? I think it should be my kernel. I dont have the option for mass storage. Thanks!anyway if u update to latest nightly I think it should be there already. Go to settings, storage, click menu button, the click usb computer connection. choose mass storage from there EDIT: I reflashed the latest CM10 nightly 20120823 (w/o horsepower kernel) but I still dont see the option for mass storage. Something wrong with my phone? This post has been edited by ming24: Aug 24 2012, 01:00 AM |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Aug 26 2012, 07:17 PM) Two questions:1. What kernel settings will have the best battery life? I want the most hardcore one if possible 2. No, I haven't. It's not that I don't trust your tweaks, but will the difference be significant? I'm still quite new to all these stuff, so it was kinda overwhelming when I read your XDA thread. Thanks! QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Aug 26 2012, 11:44 PM) 1. ThunderBolt! always strives for performance and battery life. For more battery life, consider undervolting/underclocking. Hmm, but if I underclock and undervolt my phone, will your script bring smoothness as well? 2. It'll be quite significant, though there are some kernels that are already employing ThunderBolt! like NEAK or Siyah. |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Aug 26 2012, 11:49 PM) hmm, alright. I'll consider that point. I'm interested to know more about scripts and how they work in general (not making one though) Any website for me to start? |

Hi all. I'm using CM10, I9100G. I recently flashed the new CM10 Bootanimation.zip file. Any ideas how to remove it? Which means I plan to use whatever boot animation that comes with the latest cm10 nightly.
Thanks! |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Aug 27 2012, 03:47 PM) Depends on how the bootanimation is flashed. If it replaces the original one then, look for the original bootanimation.zip file in the rom that you originally flash. Its in /system/media. Replace it with the one in your phone, set permission and reboot. I'm not sure how it's flashed. http://www.theandroidsoul.com/new-cm10-boo...s2asus-nexus-7/ Otherwise it will be in /data/local/ where you can just delete it to get back your original boot animation. I downloaded the file from this link and flashed it with CWM Recovery. How do I know if it replaces the original bootanimation.zip file? |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Aug 27 2012, 04:04 PM) compare the file size or md5 between the original one in the rom zip file and the current one in your phone now. I used ES file explorer in my phone to view the bootanimation.zip in my rom zip file but it says that the file can't be opened. I used my computer to view the bootanimation.zip in the rom zip file and found out that the file size is different than the one in /system/media. So what do i do? |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Aug 27 2012, 05:07 PM) copy & paste with whatever explorer you are using provided it have root excess and allowed to read/write. It says "cannot open the nested ZIP-like file" when i press the bootanimation.zip file in my rom zip file. I'm using ES file explorer. I find this weird.EDIT: I tried copying the bootanimation from my rom zip file using my computer to my ext SD card. Then, I tried copy and paste. To my surprise, the bootanimation.zip in my /system/media can't be deleted. Perhaps ES file explorer is the problem? This post has been edited by ming24: Aug 27 2012, 05:25 PM |
