no this is very inefficient of network utilization,
nobody have that kind of bandwidth to serve million of population... especially live streaming

i think this is how it works,
-> London Broadcast (IOC)
-> US Distribute (Youtube HQ)
-> WorldWide Cache (Youtube Regional Server/Msia Server)
-> YOU Watching with millisecond lag thumbup.gif

On the new handset that you want to add to the Aztech base station, go into its menu, and select "register" handset (the steps vary from phone to phone so I can't tell you exactly what you need to do).  You then need to enter a PIN, 0000, and then after around 2-3 seconds, pull the power cable out from the back of the Aztech base station.  This is because the base station does not have a separate button to pair with new handsets.  Your new handset now may or may not beep indicating that it has successfully registered with another base station.  In the case of the Philips SE171, it registered itself to the Aztech base station which it calls basestation 2 (I'm assuming basestation 1 is the Philips basestation).

Quite simple process really...

Hi All;
Today the maxis and the TM installer came to my house at 2pm (They actually promised come at 12pm). The maxis/unifi fiber point just in front of my house,not more than 15m (Landed).

When they just started try to pull the cable from outside to my house, one of the guys told me that the under ground hole was "Sumbat"...!! They need to hack and get the cable from outside... so this is call non standard installation. The EXTRA Charge is RM800++ !!! What the Fxxk!! I'm not agreed on that crazy charges!!

Later, the other guy said this is just the list price, and can negotiate .... I said this is over charge...even they give me 50% discount also RM400++.... So, i said i want cancel the installation!!

After that, the maxis guy said how much i can offer... i said maximum RM100. He went out side and discussed with the other 3 guys, then he came in and said others not agreed but for him he is ok to accept RM100. So, they go back........

The point here is the underground really SUMBAT?? I don't know..!! Or they just want potong my head for their extra RAYA income...??? For those before the installation, please beware of this trick.....!!

U can always push for STANDARD INSTALLATION... it's FREE

Maxis's 'maintenance' is probably the cause of the slow browsing. Unfortunately it'll last till Aug 31st...
*
Mayb, but the one they r maintaining rite now is P2P traffic...

i think this is totally another problem which they need to address doh.gif
worst we need to wait for September maintenance round sad.gif

Thanks for the info, will test it tonite. Changing DNS to Google DNS server should improve your internet experience as it's fast and uncensored. tq

the last time i check google dns still censored some site based on our government request,
it mean if google detect ur ip is from msia, they will censored certain site sweat.gif

the one i know without any censored is opendns thumbup.gif
and yes opendns is slower then googledns,
but u use more time to blink ur eye than the opendns milliseconds lag whistling.gif
