expectation never ends until its actually released.. heard similar rumours last month as well, but not release till now.

finally i got myself a US set. it got international warranty, nothing to worry.. but i just wonder how much will it be selling here.. if i'm not mistaken in Hong Kong or Taiwan price is higher than US. thus, same thing here in Malasia, only dunno how much higher

the price sure similar like what we buy from garage sales.
if it arrive here at all. impossible will sell 750-900, expect 1000-1200

like you said got international warranty, so really no difference if wait.
asus lowyat service center really accept and help repair. sent mine for repair already.

so its pointless to wait for the "official" release here.
technology gets old fast, buy things when straight release. enjoy them.
dont always wait wait wait. whatever you buy, it will be outdate in 1 year.
buy earlier better

Finally all my accessories has arrived.
a) Magnetic Casing. Work like a charm
b) USG To Go. Using Stock rom (rooted) and plug to 1TB of hard disk

Speaker is my own. Play movie and music is great.

+1 .. agree for the case of Nexus 7

but not for other device which normally will be strictly on local warranty such as HTC and Samsung. For me, warranty coverage is really important to make sure that i will not be pouring money into drain. thus, normally i'll wait for local release

i have one question.i initially set unlock security to pattern but now i wanna change it to slide but that option is greyed out and says disabled by administrator,encryption policy or credential storage...could someone please help me

I'm wondering how many ppl have had problems with their Nexus 7 here? Looking at the ASUS Warranty terms, I'm a bit hesitant. Yes u can send to ASUS SC in Lowyat, but have they actually fixed anything?

I bought a Prime (ori malaysia set) and had huge problems with the SC. After waiting 2 months, had to send lawyer letter, then they refunded me. Couldn't fix or even replace new unit.

If anyone managed to get their N7 repaired, will be good to know.

For the sake of all N7 users here we hope Asus SC has improved somehow. Otherwise we will all be DAMN.....

I get my repaired faulty speaker back within 3 weeks (1 week is Raya time+near Merdeka)

mine send to lowyat on monday, said to collect next week. hopefully can get soon.

I do hope Asus SC works harder to improve their service.
This is not only related to Asus users.
It may also affect the relation between Asus and Google.

yes, its a great rom, love it too.
seems to beat all other roms out there in terms of features.

set youtube app to tablet mode, great interface, can comment and see the video at the same time.
you can try set chrome to phone mode, not bad also, can see more content on the screen without the top bar.
