QUOTE(xordMeztGeR @ Jul 31 2012, 01:45 PM) I beg to differ. Kindle fire wasn't on sale in Malaysia because Amazon are not available in Malaysia. Officially at least. But Play store are actually officially available in Malaysia, with Malaysian pricing and support of Malaysian credit cards. The site are unavailable in Malaysia because the devices are not yet launched here yet. And Offline caching are actually available here, but currently only for Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. Seriously, try it. The biggest thing going for the Nexus 7 is the ability for it to have access to Music/Movie/Magazine overseas making it an ideal device for consumption. These features are definitely not available in Malaysia and unless you're using a VPN you won't have access to it as well. Other than that it's still a solid device for the price and if Asus Malaysia can keep it below RM 1k for the 16GB version and not get greedy, I'm pretty sure it will sell like hot cakes considering there's nothing for that price range with that hardware specs/features. We can just wait and see what Asus Malaysia's official stand on it. |

Sorry I was mistaken. It wasn't an mkv file that I loaded duhhh tried a 720p mkv file with dice player and no go. Tried with mobo player and it plays but without audio. Hope the developers find a fix soon.

QUOTE(mtxx @ Aug 1 2012, 08:46 AM) reading through how to root nexus 7. did it in less than 5 mins after installing the necessary files. Am currently doing a guide for it. Almost the same steps as rooting a Galaxy Nexus. Of course this isn't my first Android device or rooting for that matter.i really feel this nexus 7 seems much more steps and abit more complicated compared to my previous device. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475 need to download a PC software, damn...its 130MB, so big! http://www.androidnz.net/2012/07/how-to-ro...ur-nexus-7.html heres another guide. need to worry about the drivers on installation if using 64bit windows, and by reading the comments, seems cant enter cwm recovery by button combo, weird oh my, this may be my most challenging rooting experience yet. anyone here already rooted? by the way TS didnt update first page with rooting method and links? |

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Aug 1 2012, 09:26 PM) will be waiting for your guide. first time android user here... 1. Boot loader is locked by default and without unlocking the boot loader you can't write/flash the device. Think of it as write protecting your SD card where you can only read data. Unlocking it allows you to add/modify databtw, why do we unlock the bootloader before rooting? Part 1: Unlocking Bootloader Part 2: “Making ClockworkMod Recovery Permanent” Part 3: Gaining Root Access got these excerpts from redmondpie.. what does every part here means? part 3.. means it's rooted already? 2. Clock word recovery is a tool you boot into during startup of the tablet to do stuff like wipe data/cache, install new ROM/kernel etc 3. Root access is giving the android system admin rights to write to the system partition. Very much like an admin user in windows as opposed to a guest user with limited accessibility Hope this helps Added on August 2, 2012, 5:25 am QUOTE(G-17 @ Aug 2 2012, 05:18 AM) I think what he meant was with ROM toolbox you don't have to manually edit the file. He's already rootedThis post has been edited by yolk: Aug 2 2012, 05:30 AM |

QUOTE(mtxx @ Aug 2 2012, 07:54 AM) Everything working. Every app. right ... might give it a go and see. Been using 160 dpi and at times find it a lil small and setting font to large just looks funnyJust like my previous tablet. The familiar feel is back, only this time every thing is smoother. Added on August 2, 2012, 9:18 am= QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 2 2012, 08:01 AM) the only reason why I bought this tablet is jellybean yeah had the same problem too with storage but I've learned to live within the limits and put stuff I don't need urgently on a thumbdrive to be accessed via OTG. After using the Tab 7.0+ and Tab 7.7 this is definitely a great change. I'm pretty sure you would love it !!I have seen n experienced the MASSIVE improvement in slickness, smoothness, performance in the g nexus turning it completely into a new phone still waiting to receive it hopefully before mid august my only grouse it lacks external sdcard but easily overcome with usb otg support This post has been edited by yolk: Aug 2 2012, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(welwitchia @ Aug 2 2012, 06:39 PM) Both I would say. IPmart called to say that they might not be able to deliver the item today because of traffic jam. I'm sorry but that's not a valid reason. Dead trigger is free if you love fpsAnyway, I've gotten the device. Now I'm figuring out what I can do with it. :-) This post has been edited by yolk: Aug 2 2012, 08:20 PM |

QUOTE(jackdon @ Aug 6 2012, 11:37 PM) Nope, I had VPN turn off so it should be local Play Store and I had just reset to factory default 3 times trying to claim my USD25/= but still failed. i tried it as soon as I reset my device and used superfreevpn to connect to Play store. Also make sure all your location services are turned off. Works on mine using my only google account.jackdon |
