Preve spark plug is Iridium plugs. So i expect them to 'clean' it from carbon at 10k and replace it at 20k.

Without cleaning the plugs, carbon on the tip of the plugs will effect the performance. Right?

Iridium plug from ngk or denso?

Added on July 14, 2012, 2:44 amSori I noob about this preve

@rich8833, why did you get charged for labour? Isn't that supposed to be free?
*
For Preve, proton give free labour only for :-

1,000km service, 10,000km service and 20,000km service.

Other km services, all chargeable. nod.gif

semi syn = 5,000km

full syn = 10,000km

I think the standard printout from bill is always based on 5,000km service. (my 2 sen only). whistling.gif

The SA also told me full syn is for 10,000km nod.gif

I'm also a bit confused too. We assume these are part of first 3 free services. I did try looking in the service manual but there doesn't appear to be any mention of free service. Back when I bought my wira, there used to be 3 detachable vouchers for such services in Wira's service booklet. Preve has none.

Edit: Found it on page 12 where it says .. Proton offers free labor service for the first 3 recommended service maintenances.. It does not specifically mention exact mileage. So for Richard's case, 6000 should be a recommended service maintenance (for severe usage). So why charge?

COSE mentioned like this:-

based on semi syn.

first 1,000km - labour is free
next 5,000km - labour is chargeable
next 5,000km - labour is free
next 5,000km - labour is chargeable
next 5,000km - labour is free

if you used all full syn, then you get 3 straight free labour.

Should ask the original poster in the original thread. Hard to speculate why. Maybe they are interested in non-national makes only. wink.gif
