Still, not beats this:

Diablo 1's Tristam soundtrack is still amazing till this day. Even both Torchlight's soundtrack cant top it. Diablo 3's Tristam, on the other hand, its a turd.
*
It's not that bad... especially this piece (however they didn't put this in the game I think)

I love this biggrin.gif

Of course, nothing beat the original laugh.gif  But we can feel the trademark or similarity on Torchlight's soundtrack

Check here

Torchlight II Music Teaser - Rehearsal Recording with the Slovak National Symphony in August 2010.

Runic put this far just for $20 game.. dont we all feel lucky?

This what real musician do with a real instruments..  .

Day wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Back when they made Torchlight 1, they just kept developing the game until they had no money laugh.gif Torchlight went on to sell more than 1 million copies. Hence why, for Torchlight 2, they are able to pour as much money and time into the game and keep the production value high.

Blasphemous!

Thought Torchlight 1 was great. Only complaint I had was that the animations weren't that smooth. Running and then recasting a buff on yourself feels like a chore. Also, trying to kill enemies near stairs is like running an epilator across my scalp.

Other than that, it's just great nod.gif

i thought they will create online only character system to avoid cheaters
*
No. Just no. I want to be able to play the game in offline mode as well as have some coop fun with friends and the occasional pub fun.

If people wants to cheat, let them. It does not affect your game whatsoever.

What are your giguys' nick over in Runic forum?
*
The same as my lowyat and steam nick. Anyways, why are people so apprehensive about full respecs anyway?
So what if they want to add full respecs? Just make it cost a bomb to do it.

Just finished Act 1. Definitely gonna play dual wand embermage when it comes out tongue.gif
Few things I disliked: bosses are too easy, talents are a bit out of place, blink spell in frost tree? And what's with the '?' talents?

lol he havent try elite, 1 hit = 80% HP gone
*
I play on hard. Never got hit. My char runs like the wind, so it's easy to dodge stuff. And especially after honing my kiting abilities in D3 where you get one shot like crazy if you get hit. Ofc, if I get hit I die. icon_idea.gif

What's the difference between difficulties? More loot in higher difficulty levels?
And why all set items are blue now cry.gif
I killed a boss and a purple item dropped, thought it was a set item, turned out to be a quest item sad.gif

I've been thinking to create a Steam group for the community, make it national (Malaysia) scale, it'd be good if we have a local community and starting our own event.

Better gameplay experience, what say you all?

Was thinking the same, but really don't have the time and patience to manage said group.

QUOTE
Its probably wise that we should not discuss about this "beta" since its officially be close. It may confuse the newcomer here.

Since this "extended beta" been created by team that releasing pirated software, Im sure mod here would not be please.

No lah, it's just official beta client and messing around with system time laugh.gif

personally I think the bosses should have some snare/stun effect to prevent player kite like a boss.
*
Indeed. I was killing a boss and I thought it was a mob. tongue.gif
For single player, I prefer playing on normal or hard because I want to play the game for fun and not for frustration.
You can select your difficulty for multiplayer, this would be where I might try elite difficulty.

Overall, the game is really nice and well polished. I played through twice last night and I had a different experience each time. This is where the game shines

For those who played Torchlight 1, here's a Torchlight 2 survival guide.

In Torchlight 2,

- You can't enchant your items more than once per enchanter. There's only one resident enchanter in the first town, and he only enchants your gear once. You need to find other enchanters in your adventures. No more enchantment shrines
- Set items are not purple anymore. Quest items now take their place.
- No more adventurer, critical strikes, treasure hunter perks anymore
- No more shadow vault (or otherwise known as the endless dungeon). Now replaced with New Game+

- Stats work differently now
Strength influences your weapon damage and bonus damage from critical strikes
Dexterity influences your crit chance, dodge chance and increases fumble recovery (basically glancing blows from TL1)
Focus influences your spell damage, mana and chance to execute (to attack with both weapons)
Vitality influences your HP and block chance

Wah, how come this boss fight never made it to the final build? Would be a fitting final boss for Estherian Ruins.

Was so tempted to finish my second playthrough with berserker last night, but was too sleepy, so I went to bed instead. tongue.gif

at least we can spam pots without bliz saying "we don't want people to spam potions"
*
You can't spam pots in TL2. Also, using a pot will give you a buff that will gradually regen your HP/MP over time.

i play tL1 can, but tl2 cannot?
*
Yup, TL2 cannot. sweat.gif
Everytime you use a pot, you get a 8 second buff that will regen your HP/MP over that period and also during this period, you cannot use another potion. However, HP and MP potions do not share a cooldown.

Press Z for HP potion. Shift + Z to give a HP potion to your pet.
Press X for MP potion. Shift + X to give a MP potion to your pet.

Where's the adventurer perk where you can increase potion effectiveness drool.gif drool.gif

8 seconds only, still can spam the pot key brows.gif  brows.gif

When I tried, pressing the potion button doesn't seem to reset the timer on the buff. So guessing it does not allow you to do that.

I did come across several scrolls that confer passive bonuses, like Spell: Block I that passively increases your chance to block and Spell: Barter I

I believe adventurer, treasure hunter, critical strikes are going to be spell scrolls which you can learn in TL2.
