bro, for what i know, those who run heavy graphics games will use cooling pad. i'm not a gamer, can't answer you in details. you either wait for some gamers to answer you , or read thru the threads - this issue has been covered in details.

you want wat game???bf3,mw3,me3,mp3??? i'll try for you, ony one, max setting,max 2hrs...lol just kidding
i usually play those game about 3hrs in medium setting to gain more fps..esp bf3 average temp arround 60-70 highest temp is abt 80c+- then after stop game temp will quickly reduce to somewhere 50c+-

BTW be aware of buy ur Y480 at sunway pyramid computer shop....
Report from someone said that now one of the sunway pyramid computer shop was taking the old Y480 with GT640M-LE change the default 5400rpm HDD to 7200rpm HDD(I dunno the size got any change or not) and said that new stock for Y480, be aware when buy from there....

I just use other 2 same fans add to my new U2 and plug it to external power source/laptop USB 2.0 port via USB hub...
