QUOTE(Tsukiyomi001 @ Aug 28 2012, 09:01 PM) the placement of y480 & y580's hdd is between the CPU & GPU, so it gets heat up very fast, changing to ssd will help u get lower hdd temps what is the current hdd connection? is sata2 slower than that?yes moving the hdd to the dvd slot is a good option, but please be aware that the dvd slot is limited to SATAII (not that it would matter if u use hdd since hdd can't saturate SATAII anyway) |

oh that means the orig hdd is just sata2, so is not fully utilizing sata3 anyway.
but if we ssd, it would be sata3 right? hmm that'd be great! |

QUOTE(sss2sssss @ Sep 5 2012, 12:00 AM) BTW in lowyat plaza got which section usually can find a lot of second hand thing like RAM, HDD, SSD? got, at the highest two floors (i think), you go to those shops located at the back of lift, or at the back lanes away from all the hottest areas, and they are normally run by foreigners... but beware some of them are rude, be prepared to just ignore them, to bargain, and to just say no... |
