hye.. my friend searching for a new smartphone.. she don't know which one will suite her need..
she already look for samsung galaxy s3, nokia lumia 900, nokia 808 pureview and sony xperia s

brand :
nokia, samsung, sony *she never tried samsung before.. only nokia and sony

budget :
2k and below

spec :
good camera for her hobby.. wifi.. 3g also..

type :
she prefer candybar.. touchscreen

but she don't know which 1 is better for here.. i think she still searching.. she probably will buy in the end of august.. for her, lumia 900 only give 16gb memory and can't upgrade to wp8.. for xperia s got 32gb memory but got screen problem..

- Below RM1.1k?

- Access to as many settings/customizations as possible; definitely not the Apple type.
- Preferably a good camera, and a decent processor.

4. Type/Size.
- No idea.

I have my eyes on a Galaxy W (RM900) or a Galaxy Advance (RM1000), but am unsure which to choose / whether there're other better models out there, for the cash I'm paying.

Neways one more question - do mobile programs (apps) all usually support multithreading? As in, is there an absolute advantage in a phone with 1.0GHz dual-core over a phone with a 1.4GHz single-core processor?

But all the phone choices seems mediocre at best. I also noticed you guys didn't recommend the HTC One V, which was being sold at RM999, the last time i was in  LY plaza.
I read some where that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is pretty cheap. I might be wrong though.

How much high in price should i go to get a mid range quality phone?

hi guys. wanna buy my first smart phone. have never gotten myself into the world of smartphones so hopefully you guys could give me a good suggestion or two.

doesn't matter, as long as it's one of those latest ones and has a good and large community and widely supported and lots of apps

3. Specs.
i would like it to have a good camera and easy UI and i'm gonna use it a lot for gps, mobile internet browsing, and documents reading

4. Type/Size. (Candybar, Clamshell etc...)
candybar but if other form is nicer and more durable then why not

in my mind is iphone 4s but i'm afraid that it might be replaced soon with newer iphone or other better spec-wise smartphones. and also, is it a wise time to buy a smartphone now?

Planning to change phone, so need some recommendation. 

1. Brand - Doesn't matter, as long as it is reliable e.g. - fast update with newest android version (unlike moto, till now then update  )

Hello everyone, I need a temporary mobile phone until the next generation iPhone is released. For now, I just need a mobile phone that can surf the internet and use LINE.

2. Budget: As low as possible
3. Specs: Just enough for LINE and web-surfing.
4. Type/Size: Any

Or alternatively, I'm thinking about using my current old Nokia + an iPod Touch. The iPod Touch will be used to surf the web and access LINE, Whatsapp, etc. and the Nokia will be used to make calls. Which is better?
