I haven't owned a Mac, and I wish to have one. I already have a Windows desktop.
I heard 3D CAD softwares like Maya, Solidworks etc. ran on worse integrated graphics with a good enough result.
That being said, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried running any of these softwares with a 13-inch Macbook before? I think 3D modelling applications don't use a lot of GPU power, it's mostly CPU.
hmm, for me i wont get any laptop w/o an ext gpu cos it is nightmare for my experience.
btw, yes, for rendering only, it use alot of CPU. but if you want everything smooth and fast, GPU and CPU is both very very important too. So, for my opinion, to do light work or for portable, better get mbp 15" base spec.. unless you are very casual use for some document work, surfing, chatting etc, mba or mbp 13 is good enough. or else, just get a tablet , like the new ipad
