UNLOCK XPERIA 2011 PHONE'S BOOTLOADER (TEST POINT METHOD)Why need to unlock bootloader ?
- To install custom roms and custom kernels (like CyanogenMod and MIUI) on Xperia devices.
Why Test Point Method ?
- Test Point Method is the easier way to unlock your phone's bootloader . It also will keep your DRM keys.
- Instead of using test pointer , I'll use copper wire because it more easy to do.
- If you want to use test pointer , you can refer to the original article
here.
- If you want to use the official ways , refer
here , but you will lose the DRM keys if you use this method.
Check Your Phone1. Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and choose
Service Info then choose
Configuration , you will see IMEI number, Version and Rooting Status.
2. If under Rooting Status it shows
"Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes" that means fastboot is enabled and the bootloader can be unlocked and you can follow this procedure.
3. If you see
"Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No" that means fastboot is disabled and the bootloader cannot be unlocked , in this case
DO NOT follow this method otherwise it will bring troubles.
4. Check the week production of your phone under the battery (e.g 12w14). If your phone is after 12w14 you can't use this unofficial ways because your phone contains a new mcu security . If you persist to continue , you will got this error instead.
