so sad, i brought my s3 to the service center today.
and they just factory reset my phone.
all my photos gone. haihs.

now going to enable my dropbox to sync with the photo album.

issue: my s3 just restarted over and over, must be some process running which causes the phone to be unstable. i suspect is that i went to gallery, select a photo and press edit. then pop up a message asking to download some photo editor software by samsung. I went and press on the 'get' button. not sure if the software is downloaded but not long, my phone restarts.

guys, remember to backup your important photos, videos in your desktop. since this is a new phone, we wont know how well it perform. moreover, can't set the phone as usb mass storage. unless u root it.

I thought only my s3 is prone to oil stain and fingerprint, mana tau got other ppl lebih teruk lagi.

The screen is scratch resistant, but doesn't mean that it is scratch proof.
If a certain pressure is placed, the screen still can calar.

I got insurance for my phone. Under maxis.
Going to try this for like 2-3 months before cancelling it.

Yup, agreed. But I can cancel it anytime without any fees.
Cuba the first few months dulu.
After the tahap kebosanan to the phone increases,
then can cancel the the insurance. LOL

Check if you enable data quota under Settings >> Data usage >> Mobile data

Is there a way to enable the Desktop View in the Internet browser by default? It appears to be unchecked whenever you exit and execute back the browser.

You can switch it on, however I noticed that battery consumed a lot more than usual.

But that Set mobile data limit, you can just untick it.
Else when you reach the quota, the phone will just stop you from using any apps which requires data.

As mentioned by XeactorZ, you wont kena extra charge if you use over the limit, just slow.

It will use Wi-Fi as the first priority and Mobile data as second.

Im using Baseaus Silver Platinum too. I too feel that it affects the connection.
Its also prone to oil stain and fingerprint. It looks cheap on the phone too.
That's just my opinion after using for 2 weeks.

i think that getting the 16gb model is better, since u can add ext memory card.
this makes it a habit to backup your files more often.
recovering from the internal storage is not easy unless u root the device,
since ics now makes your phone detect as mtp and ptp when connected via usb.

It would be great having larger internal memory but i prefer my files to be on external storage unless you would want to copy full movies on your device.
Just to share, my s3 was factory reset by samsung technician because the device kept on restart due to software issue. all my files and pictures are wiped off and no way to recover them. making use of dropbox. going to get a microsd card soon.

I just placed a 32GB MicroSD card into my S3.
Any ideas on how to identify if it is a real/fake memory card?
I have a new directory now
/mnt/extSdDard

Using SD Card Tester to test it now.
Not sure if have other android apps to test.

My phone do not have any notification called Polaris or Draco.
The default notification tones sound great on my S3 even with volume max.

Each time I tried to screenshot using my palm, my palm triggers some controls on the screen.
I prefer to have like home+power to capture the screen.

Haha... alright. I'll start practicing then.

I'm having a problem when I went to the Gallery, select an image and select edit. They pop up a message asking to download Samsung Photo Editor. I think I manage to download that app, but when I went to Google Play, it's stated as not compatible.

Not long after that, my device restarts non-stop. Not sure if you guys are facing the problem, or probably would want to test it out? LOL
Make sure you backup all your photos first.

The glass is scratch resistant but not scratch proof.
If a certain pressure or material is applied to the screen, dun say Corning Gorilla Glass,
whatever glass or metal oso can scratch.
Use a screen protector. Im using Nilkin SP and I already see 1 small scratch on the SP. (like a string or rainbow)
Going to change the SP, maybe a few months later.

You might not know, there might be some particles of sand on the fabric.
Plastics maybe have pointed and sharp edges.
Unless you get a so called socks or tiny bag for your phone.

I lost a whole set of photo albums because of that issue.
Not gonna install the software till it's written compatible.

I switch on the auto-sync when wifi is available to the dropbox.
Whenever I have new photos, it will auto copy to dropbox.
A way to make use of the 50GB dropbox for 2 years.

Haha... good luck then.
Maybe that's not the issue which causes my andriod to be unstable.
