QUOTE(SkyHermit @ Oct 1 2012, 06:06 AM) Actually nokia 808 should be better than Lumia 900 right cuz it has Custom equalizer, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Headphone Dolby Digital PlusMain article: Dolby Digital Plus E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus) is an enhanced coding system based on the AC-3 codec. It offers increased bitrates (up to 6.144 Mbit/s), support for more audio channels (up to 13.1), and improved coding techniques (only at low data rates) to reduce compression artifacts, enabling lower data rates than those supported by AC-3 (e.g. 5.1-channel audio at 256 kbit/s). It is not backward compatible with existing AC-3 hardware, though E-AC-3 decoders generally are capable of transcoding to AC-3 for equipment connected via S/PDIF. E-AC-3 decoders can also decode AC-3 bitstreams. Only the discontinued HD DVD system directly supported E-AC-3, though Blu-ray Disc offers E-AC-3 as an option to graft added channels onto an otherwise 5.1 AC-3 stream, as well as for delivery of secondary audio content (e.g. director's commentary) that is intended to be mixed with the primary audio soundtrack in the Blu-ray Disc player. its just a codec and this enchancement only works if you have the right accessories. Dolby headphones is extra and even you have the haadphone and the audio is not 5.1 AC-3 stream you wont hear the difference Maybe the custom equalizer will sound alittle better |

QUOTE(SkyHermit @ Sep 30 2012, 01:03 AM) is Nokia PureView 808 better than Lumia 920 in terms of sound quality? I mean when hearing song using earphone? Not sure of 920 since no unit to try. But I'm shocked and surprised at 808 when plugged in earphone.... It's so clear and detail. I was not listening to music the first time, I was just watching YouTube video... I never expected such clean & clear sound.QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 30 2012, 01:13 AM) for me i tried lumia 900 and 808 pureview sound da same but depends on your earphone. Can't really remember 900 audio quality, didn't really tested it but have return the unit back.I am using Nokia Purity 920 so its sound AMAZINGGGGGGGGG Anyway, found this: http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/06/14/...okia-lumia-900/ This post has been edited by Andy214: Oct 1 2012, 09:49 AM |

woot! fp2 is out together with these 2 new updates. this official release 1507 is slightly newer than the leaked one 1506. Very recent Sep 21, compared to 31 Aug for 1506. So, press *#0000# and fire up software update, or if you want a clean install, use the Nokia Suite...enjoy your soon brand 'new' phone

The only problem with OTA, you might not get 100% of all the updates.but i wont be upgrading yet until swype is updated to work on fp2. i don't think we'll be seeing anymore update for swype to work on fp2 anytime soon, another one of those 'Forever Beta' Nokia apps. anyway, the new multi-touch keyboard is awesome if you do not rely heavily on swype.
