i'm about to install new windows to my hdd since some of softwares can't install on that OS.

at partition failed to install and this stupid protection appear " windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk is of the gpt partition style "

zzzzz any1 know the solution.

the other driver seem not compatible, so hope someone can justify the status

my n56 speaker sound burst when the volume is above 70. is anyone having the same issue??

Make sure your audiomaxx program volume is not adjusted to such a high setting. I think that should be your problem. If you're not running audiomaxx and your speakers crack at 70% probably means either faulty speakers or you killed them.

So anyone have probs in this n56vm after few months using it ??

I made my mind to buy this compared to y580.. Bcause the design is really nice
But i heard the touchpad got some weird sound? The touchpad built was not good and the bad asus warranty which is quite popular now that makes me want to delay a bit..

Just make sure you get an unboxed unit and test everything kao kao before you pay. That's what I did. I don't have any regrets , yet..... I'm using the n56vz-4079

I seldom turn the volume about 60, and besides i didn't change any setting on audiomaxx before. Is it on all the time?

No doubt, speaker problem. What song you listen to? Mine share it so I can test it.

@Aboveaboveabovewhatever I like the feature of the touchpad, but mine the top part bounce up but fortunately doesnt affect the touchpad but sometimes I feel like asdfghj

LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

I watch it on youtube. At the beginning already can notice the burst when that white shirt guy talking.

oh wow, I thought speaker buzzes is common issue in N56 but..
I turn 70% in windows and max in Youtube for the Party Rock Anthem... it's good though,
no buzzing sound.

What to test beside speaker?
WhT music should i play to test?

I have a friend who recently bought an i5 N56,
that laptop has some static when it is plugged in with adapter,
so i think better you check whether the laptop have some electromagnetic thingy or not -__-
and check for dead pixels, keyboards, USBs, I can say everything you think it's possible,
even better try to shut down the laptop completely and have a boot,
because mine experienced twice that when I boot the system it doesn't display anything,
have to press the power button for long time then it restarts and everything goes normally..
the first time is the second day morning after I bought so.. haha, hopefully it's not fatal.

For speaker maybe you can try as many songs as possible as not many songs giving buzzing sounds,
maybe Party Rock Anthem like what few posts above mentioned?

Instead of 70%, I on max on youtube and 100% on windows. No buzzing sound.

Does anyone experience this? Using the shortcut media keys will bring up the player which will get you outta fullscreen or it just bring up the player on top. You then have to alt-tab back to the game or minimize the player. Its totally unnecessary to bring up the player. It's kinda annoying when I wanna play next song during fullscreen gaming. It just jump outta the fullscreen. Any help to disable this setting?

nope, download from website the laptop working with no problem (not find out yet, hope no problem at all )

so, everyone can go upgrade to windows 8 <--- if intrested (not sure about the price, its coming )
