what about right outside of the bridge? i'm not sure where is the location of the bridge leh, never went there before
yeah...in suria KLCC they even put up a signboard throughout the shopping mall saying that no photographing of the places and distribute it
*
the bridge is on top 1st floor connecting.
so if they not inside, then they shooting on the road.

imagine one day some ppl go shoot portraits outside ur house...what will u do?
they shooting on public road...but ur house is the background tongue.gif

i tried the kenko 1.4tc...that one works as well as nikon.
but their 2x tc is older tech compared to the E III, so i guess the 3x even worse performance.
tho if the birds dont fly off...no problem tongue.gif

architectural copyright is stupid issue...unless ur going to sell the pictures...
then again, u can say its for personal use...but how is that going to help the guard?
unless the guard comes out with a form and ask u to sign...then later if u sell the image u can get sued...maybe can tongue.gif

shouldnt u be shooting the focus test chart directly head on instead of at an angle?

uhh...maybe i should be clearer.
obviously its 45 degree angled...but the camera should also be parallel to the edge of it so the whole line confirm is in the same focus plane.

Added on July 1, 2012, 11:37 pmit looks like u focus on center, then point the lens left, shoot, point lens right, shoot.
when u should move either the camera or the focus chart so it lines up with either the left or right chart and in line with the focus plane.
i dunno why the tim jackson one has focus on both sides, maybe he got OCD so wants it to appear balanced.

look at something like the spyder lenscal, it only needs 1 main one.

if u see the tim jackson site also from the shots on the bottom, can tell the chart is in line with the focus plane.

Ehh? No, all the samples are from single shot from each lens. I did not move the camera left or right.

And yes that's the focus test chart I'm using.
*
oh ok.
u got check mansurov's review of the 50mm 1.8g?
http://mansurovs.com/nikon-50mm-f1-8g-review
his shots really show the difference compared to the 1.8d.

MTF chart also says its sharper.

Nope, buy the DX fish eye if you want it as a fish eye lens. FX fish eye is only a fish eye on FX.
*
DX fish eye is still fish eye on FX, but image is a circle / not a 3:2 ratio.
but it requires a little mod not for the faint of heart...tho quite a few ppl have done it.

me using d7000 and want to buy a fisheye lens, so the lens is the 10.5mm ones, but i was wondering if i take the 16mm fisheye fx lens, will i get the same 180' angle of view?
*
obviously wont get the same angle of view...only around 120.
save money, get samyang 8mm fish.

when ur shooting up close, even at f/8 will still able to tell if OOF or not .  brows.gif  I like it close and personal xD
*
no la...still will have huge DoF.
http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html

put subject distance 1m, far limit is infinity tongue.gif
put distance say 50cm, far limit is still infinity.
go closer 30cm, far limit is 1.1m...still a huge 94cm depth of field.

maybe i should rephrase.
u still need to MF, but doesnt have to be that accurate cos of the bigger depth of field.

the 10.5mm has MFD of 14cm, at that distance with f/8 there is still 5.45cm of DoF.

Added on July 4, 2012, 1:38 pmof cos infinity at 1m...like the pic of those 2 ppl sitting.
u tell me the background not in focus?

u still need to roughly set the MF distance scale...set around 50cm already if subject is about 1m away like the table.

Added on July 4, 2012, 1:39 pmu can post all the pics u want to show how great u are at getting OOF shots, but depth of field calculator doesnt lie tongue.gif

lol.
no la, thats why i rephrase...still need to roughly set the MF distance...and depends on distance to subject also.
of cos closer it is, the DoF thinner...but its still 5cm at the minimum...just simply set the MF scale roughly around there enough already...
not like some lenses DoF can be like 2cm only tongue.gif

both should have the same optics right...maybe its the lens motor thats not accurate...
