QUOTE(djlah @ Jun 21 2012, 03:58 PM) MIUI ROM Preview 2.6.22 Wow, finally, something for G.Nexus for MIUI.Common: 1. Traffic Monitor Usage. Traffic Monitor has the ability to show current network stat usage in the status bar (For example 0.09K/s) 2. New Contact Shortcuts. New Widget (Contact Shortcuts), options for widget range from "View Contact & Direct Dial" 3. Autostart Manager. Control which apps can background themselves, along with disabling of apps that are backgrounded on BOOT. 4. Wallpaper Experience. New UI for changing Wallpapers. GNEX: 1. softkeys setting. Anyway, I wish for this instead: - Overall SMOOTHNESS/PERFORMANCE improvement for Galaxy Nexus. - Fix laggy/slow Folder Opening Animation for all devices. If all these are FIXED, OK, MIUI all the way! This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Jun 21 2012, 05:12 PM |

QUOTE(phantomash @ Jun 21 2012, 05:18 PM) Rascream Bionic ROM have lower benchmarks in both AnTuTu and Quadrant. However, it's GUI smoothness is better than those of AOKP, CM9, etc. Pushing V6 SuperCharger is almost like nothing... very minimal improvement(0.5%-1%?). I'll be using it for now until I spotted other ROMs. This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Jun 21 2012, 05:21 PM |

QUOTE(phantomash @ Jun 21 2012, 05:26 PM) seriously I don't really care about benchmarking, imo its useless. It's already pretty useless on desktop, more so on mobile phones. Only Android users likes to benchmark phones like it means something AOKP is the most sluggish here...most importantly its smooth in usage, if its even smoother than AOKP, then that's something worth considering. does it have the option to hide time & battery from the status bar? CM9, Rascream, etc are always smoother than AOKP... No hiding time and battery feature for Rascream Bionic ROM. But for Unofficial Linaro CM9 ROM, you'll have it. QUOTE(FuNks @ Jun 21 2012, 05:51 PM) Is there other rascream ROM? Don't bother about it...Coz I flashed it few days back. Had some bugs. Forgot whether it was the instagram pictures black out or it was the foursquare bug. I'd love to try twisted ROM but bootloops non stop. So yeah, I'm now on Protostome M1. Linaro . Added on June 21, 2012, 5:52 pm Which cm9? For me, skank stable. Some I encountered bug. Sad. It's fast, very fast(very smooth transition/animation, etc). But, it doesn't have much customization features... It's benchmark is LOW, even the AOKP is higher than it. I know benchmark can be useless sometime. QUOTE(phantomash @ Jun 22 2012, 11:57 AM) is this the Linaro optimized CM9 ROM? No, this is NOT. This is an OLD ROM. I read from the thread that the camera is not working, anyone can confirm? otherwise I'm interested to try it out Try Xenon HD or Unofficial CM9... These ROMs are based on Linaro(partially or fully). QUOTE(Shizuru @ Jun 22 2012, 02:16 PM) https://www.androidpolice.com/2012/06/21/th...xy-nexus-first/ I think it's our Galaxy Nexus...So, will this version of GNex be available here? If it's not, we'll be getting it real soon too(assuming it's LTE version or Sprint, or maybe Japanese's) because in the end, it's still Galaxy Nexus. Means Google will release the latest firmware for it 1st compared to other devices. |

QUOTE(alkt @ Jun 22 2012, 06:58 PM) Yesterday i tried RAScream+Trinity kernel but ended up I restore back my AOKP39+franco Rascream/Rascream Bionic? I don't bother about it as for now. Not to say RAScream or other ROMs are lousy but to each his own. I prefer AOKP cos of weather feature muahaha! I can still bear with the minimal lag, that's because i installed Live Wallpaper ![]() ps-before u tembak me, of cos i did a full wipe everytime before i mod It lacks of features! And it's benchmark isn't convincing at all. Of course, it's d@mn smooth(not sure if it's a placebo effect). CM9 is so far the BEST, IMO. It's comparable to that of AOKP. It lacks of some customization too, but, not a lot which means it is still very customizable(especially compared to Rascream). AOKP have more bugs and slower... that's the exchange equilibrium. Enjoy, send fail, send fail forever. LOL. I am not sure if this have fixed... but, this bug had been with AOKP from Build 1 to Build 36(last AOKP I used). That's why I am assuming the bug is still there.... I can be wrong. Added on June 22, 2012, 9:47 pmGalaxy Nexus have the TITLE as BEST BANG FOR THE BUCKS PHONE now I think... LOL. MIUI 2.6.22 released! Gonna test the MIUI US Version instead of MIUI Android or Galnet MIUI(sucks).
NAndroid 1st~! Added on June 23, 2012, 2:51 amTested the MIUI 2.6.22(from MIUI US), the LAG is too extreme for this one. I tried to push Trinity and Lean Kernel on it, but, they didn't help much. I think MIUI US version is too laggy. I tried MIUI Android and Galnet MIUI before, and they're LESS LAGGY. Reverting back to Unofficial CM9 ROM with Trinity Kernel for now. QUOTE(Dannyl @ Jun 23 2012, 09:24 AM) Where to get DSP Manager? Can't find in Play Store. Can someone post the APK? DSP Manager can't be used or installed that way...Love my Nexus. Worth every ringgit spent. Better than S2 la. It's dedicated to the specific ROM. If your ROM doesn't have it in the 1st place, it can't use DSP Manager. Pushing APK into the system/root have no effect either. So, all you can do is getting other Equalizer app. |

QUOTE(djronzai @ Jun 25 2012, 01:45 PM) thx.. o sry btw... the titanium backup... do i need to backup titanium backup itself? will it get wipe as well if i do full wipe in this case.. Titanium Backups will not back-up itself(by default). Or, I would say there's no point to do so. It's only an APP to restore your other APPs. There's definitely no need to backup Titanium Backups. You won't gain anything by backup-ing it. You can always choose to either install it from Google Play Store or install it by using APK. After that, open up Titanium Backups to restore back your old apps together with the data(aka saved games, etc). FULL WIPE = ROM PART. NOT STORAGE. QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 25 2012, 01:50 PM) The low volume is just how it is programmed in the software. With simple modification or custom ROM, the speaker can be very loud. True. @syakirizzat, It's programmed by software... Google had written it wrong in the 1st place, causing it to produce low volume sound quality. After that, on 4.0.4 update, it fixed the problem. No more low volume sound quality! Or you can always use Custom ROM or some apps like Volume+, DSP Manager, Equalizer, etc to pump your volume! QUOTE(djronzai @ Jun 25 2012, 01:59 PM) oh thx.... but last time i do full wipe , my contacts and call, sms , all apps also gone.. i tot they suppose to be stored inside the storage?? They DO NOT STORE in STORAGE. APPS are NOT STORING THEMSELVES in your STORAGE. Titanium Backup's BACK-UP FILES are stored in your STORAGE. |

Tested AOKP Build 40 with Lean Kernel.
It's not as fast as CM9 ROM. There's some minor/micro-lagging in some parts. Test it with Trinity Kernel too, doesn't help much. Rolling back to CM9 ROM. |
