To give you some perspective, the young Brazilian team beat USA 4-1.
Prior to that the USA team thrashed Scotland 5-1.
The young Brazilian team are not ikan bilis.

Pele, Eusebio(the Black panther), George Weah and R7 all have superior athletic ability to hone their football skills. Without superior pace or athletic abilities I would suggest that they might not be able to outperform or flash by the opponents. To wit R7 being contained by a faster, superior athlete in Boateng.

On the other hand its the sheer magic and football mastery & sublime skills of players like Maradona & Messi that make believers of us that size or 'pace' don't count.

That's why the immortal Maradona (voted the best by the world fans not FIFA cronies) is a legend.

Likewise Michael Jordan (and not other basketball players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar that have superior height advantage and better athletic abilities etc. ) is a basketball legend & the BEST. nod.gif

i think every one has their own opinion on who's the best player currently. messi is good, but not great. do you see he fare well in international stage?? nope. and moreover he's only playing in la liga, he never play in other league, a good player will have no problem adapting different gameplay in different country. do you see messi did that? nope. and do i remind you he did struggle to play against a defensive chelsea side in the champions league, what will happen if he plays in the italian league where it is famous of their rigid defence system? once again sorry if i hurt you messi fanboy but best player in my book will be falcao and aguero, because they have showed they have the ability to adapt in different country different league gameplay. maradona is the best because he play in 2 different continent (argentina and italia league), until messi can proves me wrong otherwise, he is not the best in my books.

If Maradona had played in the English League he would have been hacked and chopped up to bits, by the likes of Stoke Plodders who valued grit & determination.
But does that negate Maradona as the BEST?

What's important is that Messi has proven that he can perform outside of la liga i.e. at the Champion League Stage against Elite teams (Serie A , PL et al) and on their own turfs too and on the international scene (far better than R7).
How can one say that he has not performed well at all outside of la liga? doh.gif
The international individual awards (especially FIFA junior titles) and records he broke attest to that.

depends on what you mean by the best...

is it the BEST at WHAT HE DOES ?

or THE JACK OF ALL TRADES?

if it is the former than Messi already fit the bill for me...

but to be the latter, he must come here and prove himself against the likes of Kelantan and LionsXII first......

If he plays for a different club, can he replicate his successes?

Hypothetical question since it is quite impossible to see him leave Barcelona.
