I'm not sure where to recommend, coz when I change to open pod, I also DIY myself, from the ram pipe, right up to the heatshield.

Added on August 16, 2012, 12:59 amwithout heatshield, the air filter will suck in the hot air from the engine and it will cause sluggish ride and high FC.

With heatshield, at least the air sucked into the intake is lower temperature. Result is more power and no need to pijak more to move the car.

I dont know much about Maivee, but general rule, 4-2-1 is more friendly towards city drive while 4-1 is more of a highway cruiser. If you're using 4-1, you have to rev the engine to extract most of the power. I dunno is there 4-2-1 available for Maivee or not

look for 4-2-1.

There's a reason why lots of cars out there are modded with 4-2-1. To aid better everyday drive and to compensate for the lack of torque at the lower rpm range of NA petrol engines.

Mid to high end power is 4-1. You dont want to collect excessive back pressure at the manifold area, which in turn will "choke" the engine.

What's Towing Eye Cover? U mean Eye Lip? 

Its a crucial element in open pod bro... Because witout the heatshield, u will actually lost power because of the engine heat... It will be even worst when traffic jam situation.
I did mine at speedworks pj, walkin price for the suction kit is rm600, n another rm300 for the heatshield... though the quoted price is expensive, the effect is very significant eps during high rpm, the suction sound is very2 strong coupled with stronger acceleration But, i do believe, if u do it custom, u can save alot of money...

Bro, if u wannt heatshield, we are organizing a bulk buy for open pod heatshield, custom design to fit 1.5manual, can get around rm200, with better finishes n material than the one i bought form the mentioned earlier tuner. PM me if u r interested bro 
Yeah, our bro here is correct... 4-1 peaky performance, 4-2-1 more midrange, but, for myvi, if u want to use 4-2-1 configuration, u better go find those 4-2-1 which go all the way till under ur engine (4-2-1 long type), not the 4-2-1 short type... 4-2-1 short type wont give u much difference compared with 4-1

I was getting around 10.33km/L, but after mod here and there... improve to ~13KM/L.

You drive on highway doesn't mean you definitely can save petrol, it is still depend on how fast you drive or how you drive.

I can get near ~560km per full tank last time when I travelled back to kampong.

LCP = Lightened Crank Pulley.

So far I have seen the best is still Mythelogy LCP. You can find it from plenty of shops...

dear sifu, i want to ask what is the diff between the normal filter we using in our myvi 1.5 and those Performance Drop In Filter? like redline and knn?

Workmanship is subjective but I trust EA Autoworks and their Mythelogy LCP.



They open until 8.00pm tonight but since it's a sudden visit, I'd suggest you contact them first before dropping by just in case their workshop is packed and also on stock status because the stocks are very limited.

Not too sure about Works but I think some went for Redline, have not heard many reviews from them though. Mythelogy on the other hand is quite commonly used by us K3-VE and 3SZ-VE along with the Campro owners and so far so good with positive reviews.
The SX model as in manual right? I assume when you say deduct everything else, this should include your living expenses like rental, food and so on so let's work with the remaining RM1,300 you have.

The SX model in metallic is RM44,412 but let's just round it to RM44,450 for easier calculations. RM5,000 D/P would mean that the remaining balance to be paid for the car is RM39,450.

5 years loan would usually have an interest rate of about 3% so your loan amount should be about RM45367.50 but how about you put in slightly more D/P in the start to round off your loan amount to RM45,000. With a loan amount of RM45,000 over a period of 5 years, your monthly repayment should be at RM750 which means you should still have a balance of RM550 to put in your savings every month.

You can still consider the 1.5 but that would mean less savings every month. It's up to you to decide on how much you want to put in your savings each month. Of course the more savings the better because you'll need to prepare to fork out on car maintenance (especially those emergency ones), car insurance and so on.

I know someone who installed Myth on manual.

After install, I advice him to drive carefully and get use to the light pedal feel.

He drove down to Kuantan and use 5th gear to overtake cars, after installed.
