Skimming is for the brake disc. Pad doesn't require skimming. If it's unsuitable for use, change.
Some pad compound is harder, hence noisier. Get the stock pads if you don't want the noise because it's soft. |

QUOTE(caliber45 @ Jun 14 2012, 02:16 PM) I see. Will keep those brands in mind. So i believe the only difference to semi-syn and full is that full-syc is more pricey right? besides the slight benefit in lubing the internal engine... My persona started with 12-13L/KM.Btw i thnk we drive the same black Bline persona. Ur avg L/KM seems decent.. Has it always been this way? Slowly reduces to 10, 9, 8, 7+ |

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jun 14 2012, 02:24 PM) Those values are for petrol. When using NGV, what L/100KM? Didn't bother to count. QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Jun 14 2012, 02:29 PM) 7L/100KM for petrol, very good what. I don't think many here are lower than that QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Jun 14 2012, 02:41 PM) Yeah.. he converted his petrol engine to run on NGV and also using engine oil which is suitable for diesel engine in his Campro.. He is going to testament to others the durability of Campro IAFM engines. Only for Proton, Liqui-Moly is for diesel. F*** them. They disgraced my choice of lubricant |

Got my car back. The Liqui-Moly feels better than Synthium 800. Smooth and quieter. FC I don't know.
But overall not satisfied with this service. Damn dirty and yet not all issues are fixed. Next time I service the car, I will make them write all those into order form again. |

Engine roar noise is fine with me. I hate cabin noises.
That damn CoSE, didn't fix most of my issues. Moreover the car is damn dirty. I sent in waxed clean. |

QUOTE(oczone @ Jun 18 2012, 10:41 PM) Hi sifus, I am a person who does late braking some times (intentional or unintentional). The original brake system is so soft that I never heard the tyres screeched even a little. Any idea to change the brake servo for persona b line. The brake was too spongy, this the second time accident within 6 months. I driving slow as below 60 km/h , however after press the pedal, the car still can't stop some more lock wheel. Any ideas for me to improve the brake?? I search google found evo3 or sr20 brake servo, double layer can fit into persona, im still think of should go ahead for this?? P/s: my brake pad : bendix mtk brake fluid change: last interval 10k km Thank you My Wira with modified servo, lock until smoke comes out. Changing servo itself is not the solution improve braking ability. You're altering the brake bias to make things worse |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Jun 20 2012, 08:43 PM) Thanks for the picture, I've been hoping to see a photo like this. Because I have NGV solenoid and MAP sensor, this allows me to know whether I can still fit a 3 point strut or not |

Got 2 type of philosophy,
Conventional: Must keep rev low when engine is new Revolutionist: Must rev hard over the entire range when engine is new to allow rings to seal up Pick yours. At 2000KM, it doesn't really matter anymore what you choose. Even Option 2's revving cannot improve seals (even if true) at 2000KM anymore. If you choose conventional break in believe, you can slowly rev your engine higher after first and second service. |

QUOTE(Sesar unjur @ Jun 25 2012, 05:22 PM) on the stciker for next service, the sc only put 5k for the next service,no date,so,i assume need to wait till it reach 5k.very seldom use the car, although car will be having birthday next mont, mileage is only 3.5k. If you read your service invoice, there is an expected date and mileage for you to return. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Jun 26 2012, 08:18 AM |
