The sentinel head in X3 is actually very large...

Mark iv has been reissued with gantry release.... Roughly RM 600 you should be able to get one easily... though retail of original Mk.4 is around RM500

Mk. V is overpriced too... I'd not pay more than RM450.... HT produced too many.. until retailers have to throw price...

Nope... but related to the quality of the material used, Most Pleather (plastic "fake" leather) are prone to peeling... However the Pleather used in the Origins' Wolverine should last, as it's not your typical pleather. Some 1/6 and 1/4 figures have (and will) use real leather, sheep skin...

Unless that upgraded.... the material of this X3: Wolverine will likely peel... as the PVC pleather dries over time

MK. 2 AU has an almost mirror finish....

PU is one but not the only plastic used.

HT "took off" with the talents of Yulli and JC Hong... with the MMS series. Realistic face sculpts that hardly anyone now can match (except maybe EB), they found a niche with realistic figures... eclipse the big players like Medicom/Takara... etc that fell behind... Sideshow/EB are the other big license players now.

Then they expanded with computer aided design from weapons/guns... then to full figures... robocop/ed209/power loader.... then they start to increase complexicity of CAD design figures with IM Mk. 3, and ever more complex vehicles and robots/armors since... /////Bandai ... and Takara/Hasbro still have the better designs at the moment with the PG series... and Master Piece series respectively./// not entirely related/// In license robotic/armor action figures a possible emerging player is 3A.

There also the emerging market 1/4 scale action figures by EB & HT... and Bandai getting into 1/6 action figure as well...

HT's major advantages:
1. Korean Head sculpt talents
2. Excellent paints (JC Hong) and paint QC
3. Great/improving CAD designers
4. Great tailoring
5. An ok body and alien/monster sculptor.

HT's weaknesses:
1. Bad in material science, incompatible materials, poor materials that degrade with time.
2. Lacking customer service response.
3. Rather short guarantee
4. Lacking body design mechanics (joints & articulation).. (related to Advantage no. 3)

Mk. VII or Mk. IV..... if its Mk. IV, "ordered" 1 is a more proper term than pre-ordered.

Well I only built PGs... never a MG before.

Articulation I'm refering to overall all the action figures ... from Human truetype based to IM armors... it varies from figure types to figures (clothing restriction, design..etc). Each IM figure also has variable articulation levels because it's essentially a totally new exo-skeleton with every new armor, and not like Bandai where a few kits can share one common endo-skeleton.

Generally IM armors are limited in articulation .... the articulation points design tries to imitate the Male true type body as best they can, but lacks the full range at the elbows,hips and abdomen-torso. Neck and wrist are limited dues to the light up feature (almost no improvements after 8 armor [5 actual design variants] releases so far).

Knees/ankles/thighs/upper arm/shoulder joints are adequate.

Some retailers still accept at the higher retail price and not the PO price...

Pricing varies from country to country... from retailers to retailers. Cheapest being from the source in HK.
Pricing is as such due to how HT distributes the figures. There's a 1 stop pricing guide on HT jp's site that's about 25 to 30% overpriced compared to actual price charged by most Japanese retailers.... and ToyHunters price... between those and previous local pricing we can gauge/estimate local retailer's price.

SSC's price is way off mark lately...
