BTW, actually I found that Windows Index Score does not use NVIDIA GPU to render Gaming Graphic and Graphic score if we use either 304.48 or 304.79 Beta driver...
Hope NVIDIA can be faster release WHQL driver for our GPU(of course bug-free)

anyone here have a y480 with either a u2 cooler or u3 cm cooler?
I thought of getting the u3 cooler,but after checking the dimensions...its quite huge at around 42cmx30cm...

Is it too big for y480?also,i thought of carrying the cooler in my backpack..can a u3 fit inside the backpacks??

14" go for U2 if 15" go for U3

that's simple but i suggest bigger cooler r always better choice.

I got U2 for my Y480, it's 4 fans(default 2 fans, I added two more fans)
U2 is fit for Y480, but if u wanna ensure every vents got one fan(Y480 got 3 vents, one is at processor, two is at RAM) u may need to move upside a bit and remove the rubber upside the cooler pad....
If u wanna perfect cooling, u can go for U3, although is big but u can move any fans without any problem...

Also,i read in china forum that y480 doesnt really need a cooler as the cooling system is quite good..

And u2-u3 have a 20 bucks difference...want to save up if really dont need it...

34cm width on the u2 and 42 cm width on the u3...huge difference...:sweats:

then GG for U3, now even my backpack if wanna put U2 inside also is a problem(although my backpack can fit 15" laptop...), so I din bring my U2 back to my hometown
U need it, is for HDD cooling...lol
other part does not any cooling, the way I bought U2 is need to speedup the air flow, so HDD can maintain at 44 when idle, now without cooler HDD maintain at 49(BTW I got play game before and although got shut down also let it rest for a while and start ot back)...

i just found out that y480 is 13.5inch wide while u2 is 13.6 inch...

Seriously...i think so too...gg for u3 for being so big..


the prices for u2 and u3 same for all ALL IT store? then i might consider not buying the cooler in bulk with the seller since she sell 65/85...
Plus i can go try out the size of the laptop on the cooler..

BTW got anybody can confirm with me Y580 in Singapore is FHD version or HD version if bought more than one week ago?
coz my friend bought at RM3749(after convert), free a logitech wireless mouse, a 16GB sony pendrive, a lenovo headset but he dunno is HD or FHD version(I got tell him check but he still din reply me), if he bought is HD version then totally expensive...lol

Just get someone to volunteer to start owner club of y480/y580.but not sure whether to combine or not..
