I just bought a y580, everything work fine except for the nvidia gpu    when the 660m running I'll get artifact on screen (when doing 3d rendering) and the whole program slow down/lag.. diff driver no luck, guess it is hardware defect    then all the lenovo service centre only open mon-fri .. duno how to send for warranty/claim for doa ..

anyone can help with the claim/warranty? like can send to where on sat or can get them to pick up on doorstep like asus 

seller dun want to take, say reseller kenot return.. bought here from forumer ..

i talk with the person in service center, Y580 is a problem machine, everyone send their device via common issues such as display problem:
1. screen stuck while playing game
2. hardware problem such as myself, bluescreen and power problem

EDITED : mostly Y480 hav no big issue, from the aspect of performance are better than Y580 although the spec is not that high, mostly the problem in Y480 is bluetooth issue.

bro try and go lowyat lenovo service center, really highly recommended, trust me    i been sitting there for whole day chit chat and while fixing my lappy problem with the engineers there.

For real? I was thinking of getting the 580 instead of the 480... Any 580 users here which can testify that this is true?

Wanna ask should i take out the battery or not while playing games??
Bcause last time i use acer.. It have 3 hours battery, then after i played fifa with battery in it,,my battery drainn so fast..
It only last 20min, then 10 then 5 minutes ...
Also anyone can recommend cheap wireless mouse that actually works really well..
Not gaming mouse..just normal bcause im not used to the trackpad ..

Would like to ask, you using the candy to put ur old HDD in the ROM area? Do you just have it plug in or you still can screw it like the ROM which you cannot pull it out without taking out the screw?

- May i know is that possible to create more partitions for new purchased y580 ? is it to shrink the volume from the disk management ?

-how do i know which USB ports are USB 3.0 or 2.0 ?

It means that we can not create the partitions by ourselves ?

wrong . You can create any amount of logical partition .
