QUOTE(mengfart @ Dec 2 2012, 01:22 PM) Anyone tried to run Farcry 3 yet ? Tried to set it to ultra high and high quality. seems laggy. haven't tried out with medium setting yet. because it's in russian. = = both high & ultra will net you sub 60 fps... better stick with medium for nowThis post has been edited by kuroneko0509: Dec 2 2012, 05:17 PM |

QUOTE(mengfart @ Dec 2 2012, 06:12 PM) Hi all, just uninstall that boot optimizer... as for update, sometimes it will fail... just keep trying to update or just set for it to download automaticallyI've use this Y580 for the 2nd day and here's my problem 1: Lenovo boot optimizer wont stop optimizing. (will optimize everytime i turn on the laptop even when i turned it off in the settings.) 2: Windows 7 update fail. Im using home basic but when i downloaded all the available updates it will fail eventually when i reboot. Help ? |

probably can open y580/480 v2 thread, but apparently there's an abandoned official y series thread....
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1030792&hl= so, revive that old thread or just make v2 thread for y580/480 and include y500/400??? |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Dec 7 2012, 10:34 AM) IMO, its better to combine all Y series under one roof rather than open so many Y series threads to compete with each other. It will also help the "Alien Y" motheship thread move faster to next version. Pro users of Y580/Y480 can also help the junior new user of Y500/Y400 or future Yxx series to overcome the Lenovo software/hardware issues since its under the same cateogory of Lenovo multimedia Y series. Needs a good sumaritan to handle the increasing popular "Alien Y" motheship. QUOTE(guilt79 @ Dec 7 2012, 01:55 PM) so, the general consensus is revive the old thread???http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1030792&hl= or make a new Y series thread (with a bit different naming style compared to the old, abandoned thread)??
