just got my y580.i wana ask what should i do 1st for now?
Anything that i should uninstall/install?
any drivers to update?

1st thing you should do is to make factory recovery disc using one-key recovery
as for stuff to uninstall, i uninstall some lenovo stuff, like powerdvd... make sure you don't uninstall energy management and one-key recovery
i also uninstalled chrome, mcafee & office 2010 starter, replacing them with mse & office 2013 preview
try to update both intel hd and nvidia driver, windows update should take care of intel hd and as for nvidia, we prefer to use latest beta driver compared to stock driver

iinm there's mSATA port in y580m but not sure whether it's SATA II or III...
and someone said that lenovo bios is blocking mSATA cache unless it came with the system

Where exactly the position of msata slot ?

i cant seem to register my product at the website,it keeps saying cannot connect to server..

probably in between hdd & odd?? there's empty space at that spot.... i'm not sure since i never saw mSATA port before

Well, Y480 still got one mPCI-E slot to let us put the mSATA SSD, just behind the wifi card

i just notice that my touchpad will have some noise of something loose inside when i tap on it..
what should i do? ignore? or send back for warranty?

hi, actually our y580 come with how long warranty? mine only 1 year when i check on the lenovo web.
do we need register? how?

1 year base warranty & 1 year upgrade... basically 2 years warranty....
email them at asean@lenovoreg.com stating that your warranty somehow is only 1 year... attach also your screenshot of the warranty status that shows 1 year warranty

ok, will email them.. btw, do we need register? i found tat my warranty start on the manufacturing date but not my purchase date, around 3 weeks different...
