If you look for his videos on youtube, you will notice he is less powerful targetman type like Carroll but more skillful and technical much like Edin Dzeko.

Just saw Lucina Traore in youtube, I repeat in youtube and not a full game, he looks more like a playmaker than a targetman. In summary judging from that 5 mins and 51 secs clip, I have the following impresssion :-

1. He's fast, inspite of his height and I'm impress
2. Average with his shooting
3. Heading, needs no mentioning, he'll outjump everyone
4. Good dribbler, Downing should learn a few things from him
5. A bit lightweigh, needs to toughen up for the EPL

If he can work on '5', then I guess it's a decent buy for the amount that we are going to pay and he'll be effective, not that we can afford the Messis or Agueros of this world at this point of time.

But, not sure whether BR is buying a playmaker or an out an out striker, if it's the latter then it will have to be someone else and not Lucina. But for that amount and if he's contributing, I believe FSG won't mind.

Here we go again. Gaston looks better than Lucina and if he's bought as an attacking mid then we're still short of a striker.

Gaston Ramirez & Lacina Traore would be more than enough for me this summer. I'm not gonna ask for anything else. Please get these two..

Glyfi is in the brink of joining spurs because they offer him higher wages than us.

gaston = glyfi but but glyfi 10m cheaper due to nationality... thus losing glyfi already showed how poor we are in this transfer

Anzhi sign Ivorian striker Traore
QUOTE
Anzhi Makhachkala have confirmed the signing of Ivorian striker Lacina Traore from fellow Russian Premier League side Kuban Krasnodar for an undisclosed fee.

Traore, 22, scored 18 times in his debut season in Russia, following a switch from CFR Cluj last summer, drawing interest from Liverpool in recent months.

Anzhi general director Aivaz Kaziakhmedov said: "Traore's transfer is totally in line with the goals that our club has set this season, achieving the highest possible results in the Russian league as well as in Europe."

The Ivory Coast forward will join fellow African stars Samuel Eto'o and Christopher Samba at the big-spending club, as they look to make themselves into a force capable of challenging for European honours.

Looks like we can now forget Lucina and it's Gylfi Sigurdsson vs Victor Moses. I reckon I'll go for Victor, he's very much in the mould of Craig Johnston, a little terrier and will terrorize defence, that's what we need most at the moment as our midfiled is somewhat toothless and we can't rely on them for the coming campaign. Gylfi reminds me very much of Morten Gamst Pedersen, take nothing away from Peter, a very good player but somehow due to the fact that Victor dares to take on defenders and excels in tight defence gives him the nod over Gylfi. Hence, I won't be upset if he signs for Spurs but I'll be if we miss out on Moses. Why can't we make things snappy and sign up Moses asap before the new season draws nearer where competition to sign players will be intense and more often than not inflated prices will have to be paid.

Wigan was quoting a price of around 10m pounds. Overrated and overpriced.

Fernando Torres is now a Champions' League & FA Cup winner, European champion and also the Euros Golden Boot winner. Yet this is considered his worst season thus far.

He wanted trophies when he left us, I guess the lesson here is "Be careful of what you wish for" laugh.gif
