QUOTE(Schadenfreude @ Jun 6 2013, 06:50 PM)
Any mice out there with the same sort of size/design as the Steelseries Ikari? I used to have one (long story, etc), but have been using a Logitech MX518 for a while, and it's okay, but now that I've built myself a new rig and am playing a lot more games it's starting to feel a bit uncomfortable.

I loved the shape and ergonomics of the Ikari, especially the fact that I had a place to put my ring and pinky fingers, but I had some rotten luck with reliability (a quick look through Amazon seems to indicate that lot of people had this problem?) and would like to try out other options. Also, and maybe my search-fu is total crap, but it doesn't seem like sellers in Malaysia are carrying the Ikari (either optical or laser) anymore, so yeah. Any ideas on mice I should be looking at?

Ideas? Ideally <RM150, but I guess ~RM200 is still ok.
*
The Ikari is an old mouse, no refresh by SS either, I'm also looking for a replacement before my Ikari dies out (who knows when).. been doing some research but so far only these two comes close

Func Ms3
Mionix Naos series

problem is that none of these are easily available locally so will have to order from sites Amazon.. and they will be more than Rm200 IINM

Anyone know the standard price of armaggenddon aquila at Lowyat? is it rm59 or rm69? is the mouse good, durable, worth the price? haha
*
Should be RM69 but IMHO they're overpriced since the day they launched, best to top up a bit and get a G400 for reliability wink.gif

yea feel like trying other BRANDS instead of razer... hehe feel like getting steelseries cuz it matches my steelseries qck tongue.gif but hey matching aint always good smile.gif... now im considering logitech g400,g500,g700... razer... probably only imperator if its really worth it.... i've seen alot of compliments on the da 2013 but still, wanna try something diff... and i bet the shape of da 2013 is the same as da be.. which i hate :-(
*
If you can't grip the DA properly, then you may wanna try a smaller mouse to compare? some mice from Roccat and CM have good mice like the savu or the storm spawn that you might wanna take a look at, as for SS if you're not getting at least the sensei raw or the xai.. then forget about it, Logitech is also a good one to consider most of their mice is built to last and their software is one of the best

LOL... i think you misunderstood my meaning... i mean, i have sweaty hands, and the glossy surface a.k.a the mirror version, will only make the mouse looks extremely dirty and gross after using it for awhile... that is why i never considered most of razer's mice, because they're either glossy or rubberized...  doh.gif  doh.gif

yea.... not going to buy the mouse just because of the dpi settings....

the mouse, mostly using it for homework and light gaming... so 1600dpi already suffice for me...  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
you could try the Recon from Cooler master as well, TTe-sports are making decent moice also but they're pricier IMHO even the G400s is pricey, it should be priced at the level of the previous G400

i see... CMstorm's Recon? Tt... okay, will research their mice...
oh... didnt know that G400 already EOL... so now all with the added "s" behind them? like G500s, G700s etc?  hmm.gif
*
Yep G400 EOL but the G400s is almost a photocopy version anyway, IINM only the sensor had an upgrade.. the price is outrageous now so hold out if you're getting it.. they were selling the G400 for RM89.. now adding an 's' increases the price to RM149 msrp sweat.gif

Decided to go for deathadder 2013, which mouse pad is preferable here? Sphex, Goliathus or OCK?
*
if it's your 1st "gaming mouse pad" then any cloth based pad will do, just choose between smooth or textured surface to your prefrence, most of us started with the SS QCK series

anyone try gigabyte mouse

tried a few, was good for about a year before it goes kaput but it's affordable, unlike the more expensive brands where it hurts if they break down

i was like cannot decide is it corsair or gigabyte since i already used 4 razer mouse before all spoiled.
*
hold up on the corsair until you could get the updated M65 or M95 which are obviously better than the previous ones, if it's Gigabyte, just grab any one that you're comfy with as most of them are pretty cheap

QUOTE(asellus @ Jul 7 2013, 08:08 PM)
Tried everything from blowing the sensor and cleaning the mousepad, still doesn't work. I wonder if the mousepad is the reason of the fault here. Then again my older Roccat Kone doesn't have any problems with the mousepad, and so is one cheapo optical mouse.
*
Have you tried with other mousepads or different surfaces?? and I'm sure you've checked the mouse settings as well right?

QUOTE(tennytyy @ Jul 8 2013, 09:46 AM)
Logitech G400, or you may top up to get a G500.
*
+1, the G400 should be a good buy at about RM90 but better get it quick cause they are being replaced by the G400s which costs RM149 which I consider a rippoff

The G500 is a good buy as well at RM169, laser sensor with weight adjustments definitely worth the extra $$

Damn, it was indeed is the mousepad problem, the mouse works well if I change to some cheap cardboard-based mousepad from a workplace. It also works well if I just used the table, with no mousepad at all.

The settings are correct, double-checked on this already.

Still, my other two mouse doesn;t have tracking problems with the said Roccat Taito pad...
*
smile.gif well on the bright side, it's not the mouse that's problematic, mousepads are easier to replace biggrin.gif

Hmm what do u think of mechanical mouse?? Anyone use it b4?
*
AFAIK for now only the Leetgion mouse have the cherry blue mechanical switch and it's only at the side button... not much to compare against IMHO just that it's a nice idea that may get copied by other carriers since the cherry-MX switches (I believe) have a higher MTBF rating compared to the current Omron micro switches

I personally don't really like Razer. Too light for me no weight custamization. I wanna ask for you guys Opinion. Sometimes i'm doing autocad and hte mouse sometimes spike a lil bit. not much diffrence.

Is it the mouse or the mousepad faulty? If is the mousepad which mousepad do you guys recommend?
*
it could be that the mouse sensor has dust on it that reflected the sensor... if its clean, try changing the surface, A4 paper or grid paper should work fine.. if all else fails... then change the mouse

hey guys im using a razer da black now, but my hands get really fatigue after using it for abiout 2 hours.. my hand is about 16cm, i grip the da well im just not sure why my hand gets fatigue from using the mouse... pam gripping it btw.. im now looking for a new mouse either zowie fk ( new release)/ steelseries mouse.. sensei is too expensive but is it worth it? i saw alot of negative reviews about it such as the laser problems and the coating peeling off.. any other ss mouse can recommened? kana too light and feels cheap.. or any other brand? wanted ss mouse cuz using ss mousepad.. can match brand smile.gif thx for replyh~
*
using the DA causes fatigue after 2 hours... what were you using before this?? considering it's a new mouse, you'd probably have to give it time to get used to the DA.... BTW, it's supposed to be one of the most comfy mouse to use sweat.gif

goliathus/roccat taito. qck series have low durability, quickly worn out.
*
QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Aug 15 2013, 11:45 PM)
this! i currently own a navi qck+ and normal qck mousepad(small size) and the bottom part of the mousepad is like peeling off 2 of the mousepad also same problem! cuz steelseries used glue to just glue the surface only, wherelse goliathus they sew it nicely.. better quality, oh and the qck the surface gets like white-ish color easily
*
QUOTE(NeverX3 @ Aug 16 2013, 01:37 AM)
My SS Qck+ lasted me for almost 2 years. Serves me well and better than the Goliathus Speed. Which peels off at the side of the mouse pad. Washed it several times without facing any issue after that.

Maybe it is just me.  hmm.gif
*
Dunno whats the issue there but I've been using the QCK Mass (Gank Ed) for nearly 3 years now and none of those issues came out... maybe I don't do as much gaming compared to you guys lolz tongue.gif
