My battery life improve a lot... previously around 22-26 Hours per charges, now become 30++ hours... (Now still left 23 hours after 9 hours unplug)

Updating the Lumia sometimes is strange. I have a lumia 800 with the firmware previous to 12070. Every time I connect to Zune, it keeps telling me I have the latest firmware, which is impossible since I am missing 12070.

So I used Nokia Care Suite and lo and behold, the 12070 update is the latest update that is available, so I updated it. After 12070 is installed, Nokia Care Suite now tells me that 12070 is the latest firmware they have.

Fired up Zune, and the rest of the updates to 12070 are found and installed. So there are two actual update repositiory, one is with Microsoft and the other one is with Nokia.

Yup battery improve a lot.. More then 1 day already. N im posting this using ipod touch tathering tru lumia

using NoDo trick now..updating 8773..hihihi

Hi, I got my mom the lumia 800 2 days ago. I chose it over android and the rest because of how simple and straightforward the phone is. She loves the phone, considering she had a very chokia nokia last time ( lol ).

The disappointment came when she had it for the first day and found out there is no light for sms notification. I told her I'd look at the phone to find any settings that may help.

I know that the iphone can make a notification sound up to 5 times every minute to notify arrival of a new message. There should be SOMEthing the phone can pro-actively do to signal new messaging right? Maybe flash the windows home LED key ? Or is this thing not yet implemented or will come in the new windows phone update?

Morning guys, need some help here. So I tried the nodo trick whole day ytd and it ain't working for me.
I did the timing thingy up to the last 2 sec & disconnect my wifi, everytime i got this message instead:

Err does nodo trick still work with my current version of Zune software: 4.8.2345.0 ?

it's frustrating....lol

The update trick did work for me on the 3rd try. My style: I just estimate about halfway through the time it takes to check for update then disable my LAN connection using windows network connections.

Unifi 10Mbps, windows 7 64 bit professional.

Updating now. They had better improve the message notification system!

Update: firmware downloaded and i saw it installing. After restart still same firmware number. WTF!

Anyone assit? I'm kinda confuse with this phone.

I don't get all live tiles work on 3rd party apps, the only live tiles work is the default such as Mail, messaging, people hub, me hub etc... The rest like CNN, Foursquare, Weather (Microsoft) not working in live tiles, it just shows icon.

and I checked my firmware, is 11501, clearly that you guys been updated to 12070 for the battery performance fix, but I check my phone, it says "my phone is up-to-date". Any clue?

Then about the data connection, I have a weird experience with DiGi network, I can received whatsapp message, but I can't really go to the internet. and my data connection is damn sluggish even I'm on HSDPA network. anyone face similar issue?

About the 3rd party not all apps support live tiles. You must check in setting to see its supported or not.

For the digi if U run network setup U will faced the issue you mentioned. Hard reset will solve that problem and make sure this time not to run it again

Reset again! I've resetting my phone more than 3 times since I got the phone weekend. haha

And all the CNN, Foursquare support live tiles, even CNN got ask if I want a live tiles or not, still not showing overnight... Sigh...

Urgent help needed. My L900 suddenly shut off and couldn't reboot anymore. Any help please? My phone is just less than 1 month old. :S

I tried to hard-reset by holding down "Power Key + Volume Down + Camera" and there is no response.

Press and hold the volume keys and power button together for 3-5 seconds
The phone should soft-reset

Some are saying in comments that just holding the power button for 10 seconds works too.
