guys, i'm considering to buy lumia 800.. saw its priced at 999, considering new lumia 820 coming out, is this phone still recommended to buy? never owned a smartphone before.. need a phone to fulfill these modest criteria only.. im a simple person

1) need a capacitive smartphone to keep my kid occupied.
2) if possible, would like some free/low cost apps / games for my kid
3) a good camera for outdoor and lowlight (i consider my current xpressmusic terrible)
4) dont have sluggish issue (is win7.5 ok?)

or should i go to android/apple?

saw the price capped at rm859 for now (ori). its kinda tempting.
im not so into apps kinda person but i would prefer things that can sorta keep up with the current or near future updates or trend.
which pose me a dillema as l900 & 800 wun have wp8, max only to 7.8 which share a few wp8 features.

and since l820 n 920 just came out and it's wp8, therefore =.=

but i reli like the lengzainess design of l800... which makes me feel handsome too when i hold it
s3 is so ugly to be honest although it's a great phone, i mean most samsung galaxy ones...

what drawn me is its camera quality since ill be travelling all ard the world for my job so i nid a phone to take pictures but not so bulky like the aforementioned.

btw, since l900 is at 1.5k currently, i bet it'll drop rapidly due to 920 n 820, and if it's below 1k by end of this year, it's damn delicious as well. i just wonder how much lower can l800 go.

agree. xps camera quite good. but dun try in a flight.

is there an app for data internet watch? I mean you can watch how many mb internet u hav used.

new nokia lumia 800 black user. all i can say is malaysia marketplace sucks to the max. why cant they make all marketplace same worldwide. this is horrific. i like the smoothness, elegant and sharpness of windows. its unique and im sure there is still a lot to be improve in windows phone. lot of potential thank you

cracked screen - I ask nokia care before, RM703 to fix it. warranty card only free u labour charge, sparepart alone RM703

Or like me, buy sparepart from ipmart RM350 and go shop fix for total 420, depending on labour charge.

heard from lowyat guy in 2-3 weeks time, 920 n 820 got launched n 900 price will drop 200-300. l800 price will likely stay same. dilemma btw 900 n 800

Lumia 900 and 800 will drop. Maybe Lumia 900 will be sold below RM1k :-) this is because no windows phone 8 update. Be patient and wait for lumia 920

Hmm, did you guys experience any problem with the phone getting hot after a little while (less than 30 minutes) of heavy usage? I just bought mine about a week ago, wondering should i get it back to nokia for warranty.. Thanks..

hmm, it does get uncomfortable holding it... the hottest part should be the metal thing around the camera, but it is under the cover (the one in the box) so i didnt really get to feel how hot is it.. and i tried to put my hand on the screen for awhile, and it start to hurt after awhile(1 minute or so)..

so, im the only one getting this overheat thing?

im glad that im not the only 1.. hopefully lumia 920 wont have such problem

but last time my htc desire hd didnt have such problem, it does get warm, but it wont be hot..

heard about wifi diconnected when screen goes dark. Is this a common issue? What if i'm downloading an apps via wifi and the screen goes off will it disconnect the wifi? How to solve this. Thanks.

possible to get one at rm550 now in the market? would want to test test 1st before jumpin in to 920.

after one week of using nokia lumia 800, i found it to be slow as everything required some unnecessary animation. Opening whatsapp chat is so slow compare to the IOS/Android devices.

Is there any other way to disable all those fancy animations?

..i need to log in via IE to view my FB group...any solution on that..?

So good ? Discussions are filled with people complaining about poor battery life. After some thoughts, I have decided not to spend a bomb on Lumia 920, instead go for value in Lumia 800/900. Really do hope Lumia 900 drop till RM 1k.

What do you guys think about the future of WP7 ? Will new apps still support it ?
